New 2015 SRT vs 2016 SRT Night

A couple dealers still have 2015s left on the lot marked down to low to mid 60's with the sunroof, stereo and trailer tow package . Some appear to be dealer demo's but still overall sold as new. Are there a lot of improvements in the 2016 to end up spending about $7k to $12k more than on the 2015?

I know the 2016 Night comes with full leather, new cluster, blacked out and new shifter but is it worth the difference? Especially with new 2017's coming out in a couple months?

Also - are dealers still sticking to sticker prices on 2016 Nights? I've talked to several dealers and I keep getting...the price is the sticker price is the price.

Re: New 2015 SRT vs 2016 SRT Night

$7-12k off a '15 is GREAT, but in my opinion, its worth the difference to buy the '16 model. The cluster is good, not that big of a difference, the leather is AMAZING (in the Night package) and the shifter is what the shifter ALWAYS should have been, easy to use, NO learning curve, smooth and feels great. As for the rest of the night package, I ordered mine, so I didn't pay sticker, but if you feel there's still good value at sticker, go of it. I would try to find a dealer willing to negotiate a little.

2015 all day long! If you feel like throwing cash away then buy the 2016 and while you're at it deposit money in my account, lol. Let someone else take the depreciation hit and don't look back. Now if the 2016 had more horsepower 707...then 🤗🤗

Re: New 2015 SRT vs 2016 SRT Night

Mid 16s for any 15 is crazy. $65k on a $72k MSRP should be no problem for a current model year. 15s are almost 2 model years old. Originally i thought it was crazy, but there are too many confirmed stories of $10k+ off MSRP on 15s.

I'm one of those confirmed stories. Just picked up a 2015 with HK sound, black chrome spider monkeys, Pano, Sepia Interior, and tow ($73k sticker) for $60k. That was just way too much of a discount to move to a newer model. Not a demo either. It had 14 miles on it when I picked it up.

Almost bought this one, but it had 250 miles on it and they didn't even bother to detail it before i drove it. Looked like it had been collecting dust in their overflow lot for the last year.

The 2016 Night looks awesome, but they don't seem to be discounting them more than a few thousand. That may change when the 2017s hit lots in a few months. The black Laguna Leather is the one feature that I would really want. But the sepia Laguna leather on the 2015 really grew on me. And so did the extra green in my wallet.

Re: New 2015 SRT vs 2016 SRT Night

I would choose the Night Edition for the black Laguna leather with silver stitching and for the new wheels and black parts.

Re: New 2015 SRT vs 2016 SRT Night

The 2016 and up black window trim is something to think about if that is something you like also, not a easy or cheap sway to do it right.
