Re: New aFe intake option coming...

I'm running the injen currently and usually about 8-9 degrees above outside temperature. I'll test a few more times and take pictures as well through the week. Intake temperatures are not everything as airflow is important as well... We shall see.

Re: New aFe intake option coming...

I'm hoping to test mine more this week, so we will see, it is getting air from the stock inlet and also from the front of the hood so i would think it is getting more air

Re: New aFe intake option coming...

Here's my injen iat compared to ambient on a quick drive on the highway. Temps shoot up when stopped.

*FYI I will be getting the afe and swapping out the injen regardless, I know the afe is a better build*

Injen on highway around 70...

Re: New aFe intake option coming...

well i didn't get a chance to test mine yet but i talked to Scott at AFE and he said if anyone has questions to ask for him. If you get a dry filter, it is white in color and can be washed in a bucket of soapy water, the blue is the oiled filter and you use their cleaner and oil. He suggests taking the unit apart at the throttle body and then you don't take a chance of losing the grommets i mentioned earlier. I also mentioned the price discount and he has nothing to do with group buys and after today they go back to normal price. They are shipping out so good luck to everyone on the install!

I think you are going to have to wait until guys with access to dynos get a hold of these for performance related info.
