Re: New aFe intake option coming...

Im running 5 degrees over ambient until it warms up and then it seems to settle at 10 degrees above ambient. It does have more throttle response for sure and a little more noise at wot and thats coming from stock air box

Jury is still out fellas
CLS, does the IAT still rise significantly while sitting in traffic or does it maintain a some what steady temperature even in traffic since it is an enclosed intake? Thanks

The intake temps rises about 20 degress and higher when sitting in traffic. I cannot comment on if this rise in temperature is faster/slower than stock or the injen... I'm hoping its slower than the injen.

Re: New aFe intake option coming...

I winder why none of these intake manufacturers has added a ram option to the short rams? The lower grill opening(the opening with the triangular chrome rings) would be a.perfect spot.

I got sent the oiled version as well...

Afe instructions:
Normal highway driving should give 30,000 to 50,000 plus miles between cleanings of an aFe filter. However, in the time period that you would have replaced 3 paper filters, you should inspect your aFe filter to determine if it needs cleaning. For example, if you live in an extremely high dust area and replaced your paper filter every 3,000 miles, you should examine your aFe filter every 9,000 miles. *

Re: New aFe intake option coming...

Swapped out my Injen for the Afe... Easy swap, other than the clamps... They suck... Bolts are way too long and doesn't look as clean as a standard circle clamp... Good quality but just not my preference

Otherwise all good and took it out for a spin... Seems quieter than the Injen and runs about 7 degrees to 10 degrees warmer than ambient ... But was only 40 degrees today

Like the build and look but not sure any real added power

Look forward to the dyno results from anyone

That's unfortunate. Would you not buy it again? How about us stock airbox guys? Will we see any benefits with this or is it just a waste of money? I have one on order but have not yet received it. Worth canceling the order for something else -- like an injen?
