I wrapped the bottom & sides of the the intake box that faces the engine plus the side of the stock base were the intake box sits on but didn't get any lower intake temps, what I did gain was getting the temps to come down faster after exiting slow city driving & idling at traffic lights the temps crepted up a lot slower than with out the wrap & a lot slower rise compared to the stock box.
Please explain sealing box to base
Di I use silicone or tape etc ? Pics
Thanks

I used foam tape the kind you use to seal windows & wall ac units, sticky on one side, home depo sells it, I'll put some pic's up soon.

Applied to the factory airbox splash guard, since I have to dismantle to take some pics I'm going to trim the opening in the splash guard to match the AFE's opening, AFE's being bigger by 1/4" on all sides.

Re: New aFe intake option coming...

I finally did some 1/4 mile runs with my new AFE Momentum CIA installed on my 2012 SRT Jeep. Air temp was 32 deg outside and my results where 12.7 sec. @ 106 mph. My last 2 runs with the stock intake and a K&N filter dropin where 12.6 @107 mph. What's up with that?

Could be air density. What was the temperature on the stock runs? What was the humidity for each?
