Re: New aFe intake option coming...

The independent testing so far on the Hellcat Forum is not going very well and the advertised numbers are just not there. Anyone interested in this intake needs to do there own research and decide for themselves. My order for now has been cancelled.

Re: New aFe intake option coming...

Hellcat runs Boost Jeep's don't aside from that the Hellcat is already pulling some good power out of the blower already unlike the Jeeps. Until these are released I would watch and not get too up in arms just yet. Someone mentioned that they highly doubt an exhust would show a gain either it's a differant car all together and I agree wih them 100% we have to wait to see what it does.

I know AFE killed the 05-10 Jeep intake it beat everything out their performance wise and everyone ran out an bough one when the results where posted. I think it was BJB who did the review if memory serves me right back in 2007-2008.

Do we believe the 35HP claim? Honestly we are just as Sceptictical too but do expect some sort of a gain at least as much as any other intake out too. Not to mention it will be a quality intake with plenty of engineering and great customer service and a ABS Plastic Tube that doesn't get heat soaked under the hood. See their are some positives without even having them in hand.

All intake MFG advertise high number is it necessarily good for business some say no some couln't care less and they would be happy with lower tems and any gain.

I can tell you this it was supposed to be released in last week from a phone conversation I had and got pushed back until the end of the month beging of Sept the engineers are making changes guess.

That's a totally different platform & forced induction... I could not care less about their results. Correct me of I'm wrong.

I'm interested in this intake but am going to wait on the sidelines for now to see if it's just hype or legit product.

That's the safest way to play it. Let others be the Guinea pig

Re: New aFe intake option coming...

Well not necessarily that! I'm all for being among the first to try new things but a lot of this seems too good to be true for such a simple bolt on.

Understood I just don't see it being any worse than current offerings. I can only hope it meets the hype as well

Re: New aFe intake option coming...

I saw the pics on fb Chad, I noticed it did NOT incorporate the front air duct. Is that the final design. I guess the figured it did not help with airflow?
