Very nice. I was going to try to do a run tonight since I just installed the intake but my usual spot had traffic so will have to try again...

It's pretty simple. over 400 foot pounds of torque through an 8 speed.

the thing that blows me away with these cars and cars in general today is just how fast they are becoming. I am 33 years old, and 15 years ago, I remember my buddies and I hanging around talking about the Acura NSX with its V6 and 6 speed trans pulling a 4.8 0-60 and it blowing our minds. I mean 10-15 year ago any car that was sub 4.5 seconds was top notch.

Now look at what we are able to do in a 5000 lbs jeep. I freakin love it. Anyone that is able to get behind the wheel of one of these beast is very lucky!

I can't wait to see what the jeep does after I install the Bwoody, S Type exhaust, mid level road magnet springs and possibly the 180 thermostat. I hope to have all these mods done by the end of February.

So jealous of you big shots that are past your break in period.

I still have another 200 miles or so to go and even then, these beasts get better with age, mine is a ways away from cranking out the sub 4 second times.

it will get there thought.

Happy Holidays Guys!

Re: New Best 0-60 time last night.. 3.8 seconds

I'm not that much older than you share the same thoughts ZZ. I had a 500hp car in college and it took a lot of money and modifications to get there. Today, you can go buy quite a few cars off the showroom that could run with that, and the 5200lb Jeep is one.

People say the golden age of muscle cars ended in the early 70s... nope, it's right now, today.

And JDR8 - if you didn't start over you'd be well past the break in! HA!

For All u guys or gals that have got Into the 3s. What did u do for your 500 mile break in period? Highway miles? Hard accelerations or normal driving? My normal driving isn't normal with a lead foot

Re: New Best 0-60 time last night.. 3.8 seconds

I drove like a jackass...it was too much fun

I've never been one to think much about the break-in periods for engines though - the rings seat immediately for the most part and oil is everywhere relatively quickly as well. Yes, the components such as differentials and what not need to come up to temp and have a chance to get fluids around a few times.

I didn't use LC until I hit 500, and was on a back road and literally used it with 500 on the ODO. Prior to that I just kept from redlining...
