Re: New Best 0-60 time last night.. 3.8 seconds

I just turned over 10k miles in my 2013. Stock, but no spare wheel and almost empty I can run 4.4 and 4.8 respectively (round trip) so averaging 4.6 sec at just below freezing. Otherwise I am happy to run sub 5 seconds in general without any effort. I believe that the dashboard numbers are correct. Timing is quartz controlled and exact. Timing must be exact for other functions in the car, hence JEEP would have to - on purpose - mess with the timing algorithm to "influence" it just for the 0-60 timing ... not likely!

That's awesome Faustus.

Earlier this week with it 45* outside, 4.0. Today with the 'polar vortex' ice storm in Houston...26* this morning, 4.2, 38* at lunch, 4.1, 36* at dinner, 4.0.

I love this thing!

Re: New Best 0-60 time last night.. 3.8 seconds

The 8 speed autos on ANYTHING makes a huge difference. At my old job we drove a Genesis sedan 5.0 with the 8 speed back to back with an Aston Martin Rapide, and the Genesis was quicker down low, even though it had a power disadvantage. People forget what a change extra gears and lightning fast shifts make on acceleration.

I currently work at a CJD dealer, and even driving my mom's '12 3.6 back to back with an 8 speed 3.6, there's a HUGE difference in not only acceleration, but also in the smoothness of acceleration, shifting, and engine manners around town. ZF's 8 speed is a winner in my book.

Yeah I agree about the 8 speed. One of my coworkers has a 12 with the 5speed and the 8 feels totally different. (In a good way)

Re: New Best 0-60 time last night.. 3.8 seconds

Did my first run since getting the bwoody 4" true ram air cai installed. Cold outside, didn't grab as much as I wanted. With winter tires.. -11c / 12F

0-60 in 4.1

I'm prob crazy but I'm still of the mindset I can get a 4.0, maybe a 3.9 with current mods.

I know others have gotten those speeds, but not at my elevation. I'm at 1,129 feet above sea level. Closer to sea level, faster your ride is (or so they say)

Regardless, I was surprised at the difference 4.2 to 4.1 felt like. I've pulled 4.2 several times, but 4.1 was an entirely new ball game. I can't imagine what a 3.9 or 3.8 feels like but I'm hoping I find out!

Ran a 4.4 this morning in the mile high city. Not sure how much altitude and a ski rack can effect times but I'm happy with it.

I'm running a constant 4.6. I thought for sure w all of the added extra after market performance parts I'd be running in the low 4's......?! Cai, fastman TB, kooks long tubes, borla exhaust, catch can, and dioblo tune. I know some other peps on here had a 2012 before, what times were you guys running on your 0-60? And what goodies did you add on?

I would really love to find a four wheel dyno machine to really see what she's doing? Anyone know of dyno machine near Louisville KY? Scott.....?
