Hey everyone. Been reading these forums for that past few months and finally picked up the beast last night! The car is amazing, very happy after a 6 month wait.
Yep Road Magnets 1.8 inch all round with BWoody sway bar links. Tires will be 285/35/22 thinking of going to 305 later. The 1.8 Road Magnets give the SRT a good stance not too low to attract the boys in blue attention but enough to make it look different and turns heads. I've almost fitted most of the mods I wanted to but there will always be something new to tempt me. Been holding off posting pictures until the rims turn up but they are taking their time.
I fitted the springs at 300k and have done 4000k so far with no problems I have ordered the adjustable control arms from Black Ops to reduce the camber on the rear but still waiting on them. It looks like the problem is with the 2.8 rears are the problem. I fitted 1.8F and 1.8R which settles the vehicle well. I took it on a back winding road and it preformed great not a lot of body roll felt flat. I don't do off road so don't know how it performs there.
With the lowered springs you cannot get the original alignment the rears are at an angle. IF you were racing the car no problems but for normal use the rears wear unevenly. By fitting the new control arms you can get the original alignment back. The rims I bought cost a bit so I will go the larger tires later as there are more things I want to fit first to the the SRT. After I get it back from the painters this weekend (I hope) I'll take some photos and post them. Will be taking it back to the dealer and photographing it against a standard SRT.
A couple more pictures taken with my phone of the work done little busy this weekend to take better ones. I have the rear valence still to do and paint the chrome trim black. The only problem in having the parts dipped is the front and rear of the car has to be dismantled.
