The local dealership has had 2, 2014 vipersfor the past 16 months and they were getting desperate to move them. Ilive in a relatively small city which does not have a lot of people that willjust walk into a dealership and buy a viper. On July 23 my VON for thehellcat turned exactly a year old. I did order through a small towndealership so was not surprised this happened but I was also holding out hopeafter Tim's comments that all orders would be built. So after reflectingon my year old VON I though I would go to this city dealer and inquireabout placing an order with them for a 2016 and hopefully better my odds fornext year.

I kinda needed a challenger because I need theback seat, sort of lol. We have a 14 year old daughter that absolutely lovescars. She always attends cars and coffee and weekend cruise with the wifeand myself. Last year on one of the cruises she had the opportunity toride in a Voodoo ACR viper (absolutely crazy car) for the day. She fell in love and told me that the viper was her dream car and that one dayshe would buy one. This really made me feel awesome as the viper has beenmy dream car since 1994 when they came out. I too always told myselfthat I would eventually own one. Well, Saturday became the day that I officiallybecame a Viper Owner!!

Last Thurs I went into the city dealership totalk about placing an order for 2016 Hellcat. Once our meeting was done Icasually said "maybe instead of ordering a Hellcat you guys shouldmake me a crazy deal on this Viper sitting in your show room." Lol, this is when it got very interesting. The sales managertold me to hold on as he wanted to get thegeneral manager. They both came into the office and asked mewhat they need to do for me to drive out with the Viper. I laughedand through out a ridiculous number which was $40,000 CDN below the MSRP. After some haggling back and forth (which really wasn't much because I didnot back down from my first offer as like a mentioned it needed to be acrazy deal because I would prefer a back seat) they agreed to theterms. I was kinda in shock as I was not fully expectingthis, lol. I took the night to think about it and called Friday afternoonand told them it was a deal but they needed to changed the oil as it had beensitting there for 18 months. They said it would be ready Saturdaymorning.

Friday night we took one last cruise in Barney(plum crazy SRT challenger) and my daughter and wife were pretty sad asBarney was our first cool car that we did a lot of cruising and had some greatmemories in. I am not going to lie there were some tears from all threeof us. But those were well forgotten come Saturday morning. Thedeal was good enough though that if I regret the purchase I can easily flip itand get back into a Hellcat Challenger once they are easier to get.

The Viper I ended up purchasing is a base srtbut had quite a few options (I think this is why it was such a toughsell). It has the exterior and interior carbon fiber upgrade, track packwheels and tires, Aero package, stripes, leather seat upgrade, and the HarmonKardon upgraded stereo. Venom Black with Bright White stripes.

I must say it is one of the best feelings tofinally realize a dream that I have for so long. Without any further ado here are some pics!

Very nice congratulations. Vipers are def nice and definitely a dream car. If you don't mind my asking what did you end up paying for it? (not counting the trade or anything like that what was the final negotiated price). I want to walk into a dealership and negotiate $30,000.00 under asking price. Hell I can't even get that lucky on a boat.

The original MSRP was $131,000. Walked out paying $91,000. Mind you the $131,000 was before the $15,000 price drop. So technically I got it for $25,000 under MSRP. I don't know why they were still advertising the price with out the drop, maybe that's why they were still sitting on it.
