Re: New to Jeeps, seeking advice on GC SRT

Where can I get this gold hued SRT? I must own it!

I'm still thinking deep cherry red. Oddly enough, the dealer has two GC's with that color and they look completely different. Does anyone have a photo of a GC in Deep Cherry with the Laguna seats?

Also, I found a dealer willing to let me take an SRT for a test drive, I just have to figure out when I can drive out there. To say I'm excited would be an understatement.

Thanks again!

Do you have the info on the online dealer so I can try the same thing you did? Also, I see you're in NY. What dealer did you decide to take the plunge with? I saw your thread from when you were looking to buy. Was the dealer near DC the one in Chantilly?

Thanks again!
I ended up buying from my local dealership, Rockland Chrysler Jeep Dodge after doing some price shopping. The DC dealership offered no real savings over my dealership on the SRT (they did on other models, but not the SRT).

The warranty is the actual jeep/Chrysler one, not a third party. If you Google Jeep lifetime warranty, you'll find a few sites that will give you quotes online. They are typically a dealer that makes extra dough from selling them in volume online. I'll look later when I get home as well if you don't find any.

Use truecars, you can't go wrong no hassle print it out bring with you and when the time is right during the negotiations present it to them... and bammm...off 5k from invoice. And the clunking from 5 to 4... get the granny update its night and day...all I can say is smooth.

Re: New to Jeeps, seeking advice on GC SRT

Dmb4040 Rockland is where I began looking. Although the dealer I've been talking about in this thread was in WNY. When I went to look, there wasn't anything good at the Ramsey Jeep dealer on 17. What kind of deal did they give you? I'd much rather buy local than someplace that far away.

Also, thank you for your offer to find the info on the warranty. That is something I will definitely go for. That seems way more important than the fancy seats.

Gasy SRT: I've never heard of Truecar before. How did you manage to get 5k off invoice? I can see MSRP, but no one seems to want to get near invoice. Any tips are appreciated.

Scottina06: That would make the most sense to me. Every time I see the deep cherry, I like it more. I just need to iron out what I want to do for the interior. What works best with the Deep Cherry?

Does anyone have the engine heater? It gets cold up here, is it worth getting?

Thank you all for your help! Once I do the test drive, I'll know for certain, but as of now I'm pretty sure what my next vehicle will be.

I agree with you that Ramsey had little selection. The Rockland guys were pretty good with keeping me posted on text messages, etc. with updates on the car's progress while being built. The service bay area is huge in comparison as well.

That being said, the price I got was nearly identical to the truecar.com price at the time, which was right around factory invoice. Price it out there, and it was an easy negotiation. Took me a whole hour or two or so once I was there.

Re: New to Jeeps, seeking advice on GC SRT

Just got off the phone with Rockland, they are are invoice + $1k, and they have informed me that ordering for 2015 is over. I'll try the true car thing and see how it works. Never heard about it until seeing it posted here. Thank you for your post.

What is the procedure for a 2016? How long would it take to get one if I ordered it relatively soon?

Re: New to Jeeps, seeking advice on GC SRT

Quick question, is there any way to turn off the automatic braking that I was reading about in another thread?
