9/14 Thank you!

Where can I find the recalls or TSB's relative to this model?

I think I ended up around the same. At the onset, I was afraid that all the dealers were trying to get me for MSRP. I wasn't too keen on that idea.

Did you go to fair oaks?

The SRT has about 1800 miles on it. I still don't have a working radio, but that's why I have a Klipsch speaker which can connect to my phone through bluetooth.

Here are a few pseudo-action shots of my car and a photo of some decent gas mileage which I got today. I thought 21 was going to be my best....

Re: New to Jeeps, seeking advice on GC SRT

Thank you!

Also, so far, I've only seen one other wk2 SRT in my area, and it was driving with FL plates. So, I'm assuming it was just passing by. I saw it come up from behind, and knew immediately what it was once I noticed those two heat extractors. However, in the past week, I've seen two white grand cherokees with 20's, red calipers, and SRT tail lights. There really aren't as many of these around as I thought.

Also, it's finally in for its appointment at the dealer. Hopefully it comes back as good as new! I'm looking forward to having a radio again.

Classy color. Love it! I have the Deep Cherry for my '14 Summit and am seriously considering it for my '15 SRT but there are very few around and I don't want to order. I cancelled my order for my replacement '15 Summit as I have decided I need more "fun" .

FWIW, numbers support your inability to see many. Only 3% (5.5k) of the 182k '14 JGC's sold were SRT's and only 4.9% of those were Deep Cherry Red, that's about 270. I assume '15 follows same rough numbers.

Re: New to Jeeps, seeking advice on GC SRT

Thanks for the numbers. I'd love to know how many they built in 2015. I guess if they built more of them, I wouldn't have had to drive 1/3 of the way across the US to get this one. If only it had a CD player!

Also, my car has been down at the dealer for repairs since last Tuesday. To say I miss it would be an understatement. My Patriot loaner isn't any where near the caliber car the SRT. However, I'm very glad to have a loaner and to soon have a perfected SRT back in my driveway.

Re: New to Jeeps, seeking advice on GC SRT

I tried Truecar, and don't see how it could help anyone really. Looking at truecar right now, they estimated the MSRP of the car at $74,490 and factory Invoice at $71,392. Actual MSRP on my car was $70,575 and invoice was $66849. Truecar told me their estimate was $69,462. I don't know if I am just unable to use Truecar correctly or if it is just flawed. When inputting the zip code of the dealer where I bought my car it shows the cheapest car there was sold for between $68,611 and $69,107. I don't believe this price reflects sales tax or any of those other extraneous fees.

I found my car at a dealer with a webprice of $65,555 and we negotiated from there. Note though, my car had been sitting in the showroom since last September, but the same dealer also has two white SRTS which have been sitting for quite a while as well.

Also, when you're looking at these cars, note that the base invoice/msrp price changed over the course of the 2015 model year. That's another thing to consider when you are looking at these cars. My car had a base MSRP of 64,495 which I believe changed to 64,895 throughout the year. This may be a way for you get get another $400 off without trying.

There are a lot of numbers being thrown around here, but the most important thing is that you find a price you are comfortable paying. Beyond just the price, this dealer was willing to work with me on the trade and threw in some accessories. Did someone else get a better price than me? Probably. Could I have gotten a better price on a car that wasn't equipped exactly as I wanted? Probably. If I wasn't very specific in what I was looking for, I wouldn't have driven as far as I did to get this car.

Also, thank you very much for the compliment!

PM sent.
