Re: Not Happy 2 weeks into it.

With a little displeasure shown on my part the dealer called me back and said that they would pick up the cost and want me to keep coming back.

For the record the dealer that is making good on another dealer's mistake is Nielsen Jeep rt. 10 East Hanover, NJ - good guys

Same here and I had to use a 1/2" breaker bar to get the drain plug loose

Re: Not Happy 2 weeks into it.

Like Mongoose said, it seems to be fixed, it's well documented, you have a bunch of warranty time left, drive it and enjoy it. Cries of replacing the Jeep are unwarranted.

I also would change dealers like you did. It's one thing to have a problem, it's another thing to have a problem dealing with the dealer when you have a problem.

Hope all works out for you.

Re: Not Happy 2 weeks into it.

So just picked my jeep tonight. All seems to be good and they assured me that there was no damage to the motor. The dealer gave it a full detail at least before I picked it up. When I asked about the front bumper fix they said the answer came from chrysler for a modified front bumper clip. Glad finally to have this over with and it back at home. Srt was really good and gave me 2 years of oil changes for free or 8 total. I will find out about the extra warranty tomorow.

When mine has leaked it's just a small drop here and there only when the engine is running. Maybe I just don't catch it right away or notice it. Last two times I saw a small oil spot on the garage floor which made me look under the Jeep to watch for an oil leak.

Been having the same oil leak issue as others have noted. I have had the filter changed twice to address the leaks. The filter changes were approximately 4K miles apart. The second time they changed the filter (a little over 3 weeks ago) they added a dye and asked me to come back in a few weeks to see if that could tell them any more about the leak. Just dropped the car off after seeing a few new drops on my garage floor this morning. Will be interested to see what they come back with.

I'm interested to see as well because I keep having the same issue. Filter changed and still leaking.

Re: Not Happy 2 weeks into it.

Jeep is back at the dealer oil still leaking. I am really starting to wish I did not buy this thing and now when I slown down it makes a weird noise from the front or rear diff. I can only describe it as a quick moan noise

Re: Not Happy 2 weeks into it.

I wonder after reading another thread which filter they are using. If it is the black filter or the white SRT filter. Also wonder if there is not a bad batch of filters and need to try another brand to see if that corrects the problem.

I have the black filter on mine right now. Just took pictures of it yesterday while the Jeep was on the lift.

Re: Not Happy 2 weeks into it.

my filter is black as well. One thing...and Im sure you guys have checked this....but the filter has a drain slide for the oil to drain. You guys sure that the leaks just arent left over oil? One thing to check I guess.

Mine has leaked 2-3 thousand miles into the oil change. Just a little drip here and there, not residual oil from the previous change.
