Re: Not Happy 2 weeks into it.

Thankfully it was just residual oil from the last change left on the plastic. They let me look under the jeep and sure enough the filter is bone dry along with the oil drain plug and it's a black oil filter. When you guys slown down do you a sound from the front or rear diff. Dealer told me it was normal I rode with the tech and showed him. Hopefully I now I can get back to enjoying it.

Oh, ouch! That sounds like bad valve linkage or a rod/ rod wrist-pin, so sorry.

I have 2,000 miles on my 2013 Hemi, it came with 5w-20w oil and in the recent chilly mornings here in Utah, it sounds a more like a car's diesel engine idling, a bit of clatter, which disappears when it warms up.

Best of luck, time to test your warranty. If anyone looks left or right before helping you, hire a lawyer. Don't waste your time with the Better Business Bureau or consumer advocates in your state government. For a couple hundred bucks, a good lawyer can send one letter that will cut through the bs. If it comes to being forced to file an actual suit, name the dealership owner, the service manager and general sales manager as defendants. I can almost guarantee the dealership's attorney will call your attorney to stop the suit and settle this before it goes any farther.

Best wishes, guy, seriously.

Re: Not Happy 2 weeks into it.

Yea that does not sound healthy....My 2012 SRT Jeep had it's second oil change (at the dealer) and sure enough next day oil drips on my garage floor WTF!! Jeep has 7000 miles so I put up on my race ramps my filter is half tight it took 1-1 1/2 full turns to get it hand tight...and the sercvice tech never cleaned any of the oil drippings from the change oil all over my steering rack underbelly pan and other areas, I had to clean all this up...thankfully I have no more leaking...

There is a lesson to be learned here...from now on I will always insist that I do a go-behind check EVERY TIME my rig goes in for anything even a simple oil change...these techs can't even get a filter tightened properly...

The dealer is going to get their ass chewed next time I'm over there also...no excuse for this shit...period a 60,000 Jeep and he can't wipe the oil off the undercarraige after a change no excuse for this crap!

Re: Not Happy 2 weeks into it.

I'm not sure...Can't be because they bored a 6.1.to a 6.4 that added 50 horses and a select drive knob...that's old tech.
A padded dash?...it always had the brakes and great sport seats.
Not because they made some ground effects to add to the body of the currant jeep and personally I like the staggered rims on the WK.
Why is it sticker at 65k?...ruffly 30K over a base model.
You can get a SRT8 Charger for 50K so the all-wheel drive is worth 15k.
I'm just trying to do the numbers.

Most likely they figured they will still sell at that price.

1. Interior should be at least a $2500 option when compared to the WK1

2. IRS would be a 3.5- 5K option

3. Adjustable suspension, 1.5-2K

4. New 6.4 with MDS and an additional 50 horse, 2.5k

5. Ventalated and heated front seats with heated rear. Heated steering wheel. Dont know if any of this was offered on the WK1.
