Jeez, I leave for 2 weeks and go to order my '12 Challenger SRT8 and here you guys are still here, none built, and now a price hike to boot?!?

OMFG what is Jeep THINKING/SMOKING!! :(

I'm so sorry guys, I just wanted to let you know how sorry I truly am. I know what you're going through. Some of you will hopefully now see the light and give up on this pipe dream of a Jeep SRT8 for a good value.

I can go buy 2 used WK SRT8s for that price. Daily Drive one and supercharge the other to make it a weekend warrior. Now THAT is a deal!

Anyways, I'm going to be happy with my 6-speed Manual Challenger. I'll see you guys on the track!

Dogg... You are going to love that Chally!!! Good for you bro. Recently at Mopar Nat's in Oregon a LX forum member and I went head to head all weekend with him being in his '11 392. what a car! Stock on street tires he was running 12.6's run after run after run. Consistent in horrible air and bad humid heat was very impressive to me. My girl and I frigin love that car!!

Someone on MMF posted their Challenger 392 hit 12.15 @ 114mph. The DA was really high so it was mid 13s adjusted down to the 12.15 number. He's a well respected member there, and an awesome driver at the track, so I believe it.

Wait till we throw some DRs on these 392s, then we'll see 11s for sure!

Yeah I know, I just got my VON for the Challenger, won't have my VIN until next allocation round which begins next week... *SIGH* Hurry up Dodge (and Jeep)!! :D

ps. I heard from my dealer this morning that the SRT team is going through a ton of changes right now and that most likely has derailed/delayed a lot of the projects, just FYI...

Anyone think over the years most American "performance" cars took a few steps back? I know a lot had to do with politics and other government reg. and rules and I guess business focuses in general. Just seems like the cars seemed to get much softer if you will, but I guess they had to :/

I just hear and see all this talk about how back in the day all the Chevy SS 427s and 454s and even those Mopar 440s and the 429 SCJs from Ford were all able to run high 10s with the right rear and a nice track bar! I mean cars were literally low 11 sec cars out of the factory in the 60s/70s and then few little bolt on mods or adjustments and they were 10 secs easy! Hard to find a car to do that today beyond like a Z06 or a few $100k+ cars.
