Well of course, what kind of shade tree mechanic would you be if you didn't road test after the maintenance to make sure there are no leaks at high HP outputs!!!

Oil change is quite trivially simple, except where you can't get at the freakin oil filter without removing half the engine, something useful to know.

.... although at 19.95 in the express lane for dino pee and only a mild uplift for
synth blend or a bit more for full synth, kinda hard to justify other than for the sheer pleasure of getting dirty, plus the opportunity to poke around the bits under there looking for items that might need fixing, where you are probably pickier than a mechanic might be.

Dealer wanted $160 to change the oil on my SRT.........I bought ramps, an oil pan, 10 quarts of Mobil synthetic and a K&N oil filter for a little over $100. Pretty big difference, and at least this way you know it's done right, versus some guy who gets paid minimum wage and has been slaving under a hot car all day. Personally I will never let anyone change the oil in my vehicle but me. Cost aside, I just don't trust them.
