Oil Filter

Hi Guys,

Going to drop my oil at the 5000km mark and wondering what filters everyone is using.
I have just managed to score some Mobil 1 0-40 at half price, so this will have to do till I manage to get my mate to import the proper Pennzoil for me.

Just wanted to know what Oil filters everyone is using, and part numbers if possible.

From what i can see, i can get
Mobil M1-210
K&N PS-2010

What is there from OEM and where can i source it from?

Any body got any good / bad feedback on the above???

Thanks

Marc

Hi Marc,

I would be interested in the Pennzoil if at all possible!, currently using Mobil 1. Keep away from original Mopar filters they do leak after about 2500ks, I've been there.

Most of the guys are using the k&n, can i ask which performance shop you found these at?

Cheers
Peter

Re: Oil Filter

A few years ago I attended a oil seminar for Joe Gibbs Nascar racing oil. They tested all the flow rates on various filters. The highest filtration, and flow rate went to the WIX filters. That's what I've always used.

Hi Peter,

If they bring in the quantity i asked for then we should all be able to get some Penzzoil Ultra 0-40 for ours.
I asked in January, and they said they would order it in their next container due in early April.

I am just checking stock on the 2 filters, and once confirmed, i'll let you know where from.

Also thanks for the advice guys, guess i will just run with the K&N then.
Thanks

Marc

Re: Oil Filter

Hey Guys,

OK,
Western Filters Blacktown have the K&N in stock! $14 bucks each.

I will be grabbing a few on my way home one arvo this week.

PS Super Cheap are the ones with the Special on Mobil One 0-40 for $48 each this week too. Use there ebay store so you can purchase more than ( One Per Customer) LOL

Hope this helps.

Marc
