Jesse, that is awesome that you wrote to Ralph and he actually replied. I will be interested to see if you do manage to get the black vapour. My SRT was ordered through Jeep Australia HQ, and as much as i persisted that i wanted the black vapour, they were adamant that it was not available to OZ, i have yet to see anything to prove otherwise.

Please keep us posted as to the conclusion of this, well done mate!

Cheers
Peter

Re: Optional wheels on Australian SRT?

The cynic in me reckons that's not Ralph answering the email, probably a PA.

I don't think it is PA as I have had other emails since and I think it is a step in the right direction.

I only have the satin & Goliath option when I brought mine in Melbourne...didn't bother too much as I know I'm changing them
Brake dust is very common with any performance brakes it gets better after the pads wear in!

Re: Optional wheels on Australian SRT?

Yep in Aust we only had two rims to choose from if you were lucky when I ordered my SRT (March 13) I wanted the black Spider Monkey rims but the dealer couldn't even tell me what options Australia was going to get. I was told I couldn't pre order anything as they just received what was shipped over and they tried to match the car to what the customer ordered.
I said it better be White with a panoramic roof and spider monkey rims. it turned up in November 13 White with a panoramic roof and Goliath rims. The dealer swapped them for spider monkeys 5 days later.
In the Australian buyers guide the rims are only polished spider monkey or Goliath.

Not with these Brembo's it doesn't. The pads are a soft compound to give a better braking feel. I have a set of Hawk ceramics i'm about to fit. Almost no dust with these (I had them on my previous FPV).

Don't make sense when it's the same wheel we can get just a different colour and made in the same factory?
Could someone please confirm if this is true....
If you can't get the vapor black wheels, get whatever comes with it and I am sure either adamputts, DCRSRT, or mrmaker can help you find some really sweet 24"s to put on it. It seems to be up their alley, unlike tosser's like myself who wouldn't know much.
