Re: OT: Laser Jammers.......
You don't need rear protection. Waste of money. Have been drifing 150k with front only and never shot from behind but shot from in front couple dozen times. As for the install, its pretty straight forward.
Mount the units in the grille closest to the headlights. Must be level and face directly forward. Bend a piece of metal into an L shape, screw oneside to jeep, other to units. I used double sided tape on my BMW.
Run wires from units around engine bay using wire ties and through firewall by cutting slit in any old rubber grommet and sticking them through.
Get wires from under dash. Hook them up to power and ground source. Wires on back of cigarette lighter are fine.
Mount button where convenient. Turns it on and off. I never use it so its tucked away. Powers on and off with the key.
That's it. Should take a good installer 90 minutes but they will charge you 2 hours. Probably 200. Units cost 795. Installed should be a grand.
I used to install. Hardest part of the install was getting units straight and level. Took 30 minutes total. Do it on level ground.
Someone handy can do this in 3 hours easy. You'd need wire strippers, black tape, screw driver, razor knife, crimps and crimpers if you want to crimp connect which is what I did, and wire ties. That's about it.
