Re: Outback Red SRT

fantastic!! I would have thought you need the window tinting where you are from. Have you thought about removing the little mud guards?

Beautiful car + landscape shots there! Much work keeping it clean out there?

Re: Outback Red SRT

Thanks guys, car gets dusty all the time living out here, not going to remove the little guards due to the heat in summer the roads melt and the tar flicks up.
Whilst mud flaps would be good, I love the look without them. Would love to place a whippel on top of that big 6.4 hemi.

Those mud guards have been fitted well, they don't look to bad.

*cough* shameless plug for Aussie RIPP group buy *cough*

Seriously though, if you are serious about a kitt style SC setup, you may at least want to consider the RIPP. Being a centrifugal type it will have lower heat soak and discharge temps than the positive displacement types (such as the Whipple) which I imagine might be a reasonable consideration where you are. Colder you can keep your air intake the more efficient your boost and less heat stress on your engine.

If you straight out prefer the positive displacement style, another option might the the Edelbrock e-force. One of the local forced induction shops down here in Melbourne were in the process of bolting one onto their bosses Jeep SRT last time I checked a week or so ago. Will have to chase them up for their results. I was given a very rough quote of $12k for this installed & tuned, which is possibly a bit cheaper than the Whipple by the time you add exchange rates, shipping & GST...

Re: Outback Red SRT

S/C would be down the track a little I like the look and finish of the Arrington and whipple better then the ripp.

Re: Outback Red SRT

Yep, from an aesthetics perspective it is hard to go past a good PD SuperCharger. I'll be going the RIPP route, but will be really interested to hear how you get on with a Whipple if you go that way. Good luck and great photos!
