Pennzoil Ultra Platinum w/PurePlus Technology Powers SRT

I happened to come across this when doing some research on this new line of oil from Pennzoil. Any takers?

It appears that Ultra Platinum will phase out Ultra, which I assume will include the Ultra "SRT" oil.

Here is an excerpt from Pennzoil Q & A - Bob is the Oil Guy - Bob is the Oil Guy:
4. Is Ultra Platinum considered to be a direct replacement for Ultra?

Yes, Pennzoil Ultra Platinum™ Full Synthetic motor oil with PurePlus™ Technology will phase out Pennzoil Ultra over time.

And it was only just about 2 years ago when:
New Pennzoil Ultra™ 0W-40 Designed For All SRT Vehicles - New Formulation is Motor Oil Chrysler Group Recommends for SRT Engines

I am curious to see if they increase or decrease or keep the same amount of moly additive in this line of oil which was one of the perceived benefits behind the "SRT" branded oil to begin with IIRC.

Funny, I just changed my oil over the weekend for the first time and was debating between the "SRT" Oil and Mobil 1. I went with Mobil because I like to stay with the same oil for the car throughout my ownership and didn't have much faith the SRT oil had staying power. I'm guessing they will still brand the SRT oil but chances are it's the same thing. I'm gonna stick with Mobil.

The bottom line is that majority of all synthetic motor oils are great performing products. For many folks, it is a matter of price and availability. Mobil 1 is definitely hands down, best bang for the buck in terms of performance to price. So I am right there with ya.

Just keep in mind, the one thing I have noticed is that it is the "moly" content of the "SRT" oil is what I see to be the primary differential that appears to make this oil "Hemi" friendly as I have recalled a pattern of owners who run an SRT vehicle with the 6.4L Hemi having their "Hemi tick" solved by running the "SRT" oil.
