Re: Phot of my newTriumph Performance Wheels for SRT

^ Undecided. Need full car pics. Overall I'm a simple is better guy.

I'm the odd man out. I hate:
1. Clear corners
2. Tinted tails
3. Fully Debadged
4. 392 badge
5. etc.
I remember that whole Euro-trash fad where black wheels had lipstick on the lips. It devalued the look of the car.
Occasionally things are done well enough that I break my rules.

Funny you should mention that as we are de-badging that this weekend. It was an experiment. Worked out great at shows as the public seemed to like it but I, and a friend that has helped me and rides wing with me, just decided to remove it. Here are a couple of photos with the stock wheels on it. I am having a little more work done under the hood and on the wheels this weekend and will be posting a link to a whole photo shoot of the Jeep that a buddy that's a pro photographer is doing.

Back from the days of the ZJ...clear corners were a big thing. Don't see too many opportunities for separate corner lights on newer vehicles.

I may not have an SRT and my opinion MAY not matter they seem small but I like the look you were going for it looks awesome though!

Re: Phot of my newTriumph Performance Wheels for SRT

When I say "clear corners" I mean ditching the amber lights. Most people who mod have an obsessive hang up with orange side markers. I'm OCD and must have contrast on a vehicle. That's why I hate the blacked out look. For me there needs to be a symmetrical balance of color and shape.

The jeep looks plain debadged on the side. Those who Rebadged with SRT on the side balanced it out again. Jeep taken off the front looks ok and getting ride of the chrome grill rings looks ok, but taking jeep off the back ruins the lines if the rig for me. It just looks boring. I also like leaving the air intake rings chrome in the lower bumper. I could go on and on.

To the OP, jeep doesn't look as bad as I thought it would. With the 392 badge removed it addresses the business. I can see how the look works if your into extra color on a vehicle.

I stayed with the 20" wheels so as not to change anything as far as the computer was concerned, plus, I am not a big fan of the tall wheels with rubber bands for tires. IMHO!

I originally kept the Grand Cherokee and the front and rear Jeep badges, all coated black with the plasti-dip product. After about a week my 28 year old son mentioned that his buddies thought it "just looked like a black Jeep Cherokee". That didn't sit well with me at all, so I went the other way. You will notice that even had the endented (sic?) Jeep badge bondo'd. It's a ball to watch people at the car shows walking aroung, scratching their head, trying to figure out what it is. Mission accomplished! The 392 badge has been removed as of this weekend.
