PLEASE read- imho never install ceramic pads!

On any Jeep SRT! I keep reading threads, posts and messages on Instagram and Facebook from people with ceramic pads. Please NEVER install ceramic pads in a 2012+ Jeep SRT! I have hundreds of documented owners who've wasted their hard earned money on ceramic pads! PLEASE don't do it!

they must be getting a loss of bite or they are wearing the rotors more then the stock semi metallic pads?

Just suck at heat transfer, easy to warp the rotors plus they are too soft for our weight class. Ceramic pads can be downright dangerous towing a heavy load on hilly, curvy terrain. Ceramics don't belong on 5000lb+ vehicles and their loads..... coupe/sedan class only for ceramics.

Errrrr, I just put Hawk ceramics on all 4 corners.
I gotta still put on Brembo rotors in a few weeks so I'll just change them out then. Still learning this SRT....

Re: PLEASE read- imho never install ceramic pads!

Few reasons below OP.
But maybe a few suggestions on other pads better then the ceramic for the people replacing others with ceramic?

Re: PLEASE read- imho never install ceramic pads!

Hawk hps sports on front and stop techs on rear. I've tested these and they are very near or the same as oem performance on braking distance. Tons less dust obviously.

Re: PLEASE read- imho never install ceramic pads!

Followed your recommendation for pads Scott. I need rotors too but it seems as though everything is on back order. I'm debating on delaying the installation of pads until I can get rotors too. Scott, what's your recommendation for best rotors (truck will not be tracked).

Re: PLEASE read- imho never install ceramic pads!

I have Power Stop Z23 ceramic/carbon fiber pads, and no they don't stop as well as OEM (about 80% or so), but they are absolutely fine for daily driving at 1/3 the cost of those Hawk pads. I have done hard stops from 120 MPH without a problem. No, I wouldn't trust them at a track, and I don't tow so I can't comment there, but I feel like this statement is not entirely accurate.

I swapped my Brembo pads out on my 2016 Challenger Hellcat, which weighs 4350 pounds. I can't tell the difference in daily driving, however, I'm not cleaning the brake dust off the wheels constantly.
