If you get the laguna leather package you get the suede headliner.

Re: Power Fold Mirrors

Just an update as to where I am with this retrofit project. So far it has been a fail and it may be as simple as BCM software or option pick. I have swapped out the driver's side mirror with a 2014 power folding one off a Summit. I have also swapped out the driver's side door switch module with the correct one from a 2014 Summit (with power folding mirror button). The last swap was the driver and passenger door control modules to those from the same 2014 Summit (for those that don't know each door has a door module which controls various functions of the door features and ties each door into the main BCM). Everything works just fine EXCEPT the power folding mirror function (well, and the courtesy lighting below the mirror which isn't on our SRT mirrors). I didn't order/install the passenger power folding mirror as that would have been another $500 non-refundable deposit towards this experiment.

My next step is to put 5V or 12V to the power mirror fold out / fold in (two separate wires) to see if the mirror at least folds in and out. From there I can rig up a double pole switch to control the power fold function independently until I can make the actual button work.

I don't plan on giving up on this just yet since I am financially invested in this.

I don't think the theory that power folding mirrors weren't offered on non-export SRTs due to weight is incorrect. I held a mirror in each hand last night and the weigh difference was hard to distinguish.

Hopefully it's something stupid. But then again it may be as simple as a line of code in the software which I doubt I will be able to change.

Stay tuned.

Re: Power Fold Mirrors

it may just need to be added to your jeeps sales code via dealer connect. Talk to your dealer.

Yeah, I was thinking that. I will talk to my very helpful service manager on Tuesday to see if that can be done. Thanks for the tip.

Re: Power Fold Mirrors

he can look it up and see if the sales code can be added. We ran into this when wk2 owners wanted to add turn signal mirors

If I had a 14, I'd drop the coin on euro headlights. Not only do you guys have the clear corners, but IIRC, your projector lenses are clear instead of textured.

As far as the mirrors, I'm willing to bet you have to code the truck. I remember in the Mercedes, in order to get them to function, you'd have to code the car AND have a cluster that could read it. I doubt that the cluster has to be changed in a 14, but coding probably does.

Re: Power Fold Mirrors

Well, it's done. Not the true factory approach that I had hoped for but I tried to make it look as good as I could. Installation is fairly straightforward and I will be sharing my instructions when I find the time to get them typed up (should be within the week). Don't think there is a way to get the factory one button setup to work without a gracious gift from Jeep in the form of a BCM reflash to add "LER" to my VIN. Will I be mad when 2015 SRTs have power folding mirrors? Sure, but I also welcome challenges which is why I tackled this one.

Mod will set you back about $1300 which is basically the price for the power folding mirrors from a Summit or Overland. From there you choose how you want to wire it up and I will provide you with my approach in my instructions.

Re: Power Fold Mirrors

It would be nice if we could make them fold once the motor is off.
