Most of the required parts and their numbers are in CWGrizzwold's link above.

Re: Power Fold Mirrors

Doc,

It sounds like you have positive experience with this as you can read my posts in this topic where we tried to add the LER option code but were unsuccessful but did it the "accessories" way like you mention and didn't put the call into WIC and do the BCM reflash as you state.

Since I am already invested in this task (but have already hardwired mine and they work just fine) I am willing to loan or sell you the modules and door switch panel you need to try this upgrade again.

Here are the parts you should need as when I did this research they were pulled off of a 2014 Jeep GC summit with power folding mirrors and were the parts that were different than my 14 GC SRT.

68110613AB -driver's side power folding mirror with blind spot indication, heat, turn signal, courtesy light, etc (US specification)
68110612AB - passenger's side power folding mirror with blind spot indication, heat, turn signal, courtesy light, etc (US specification)
68184803AA - driver's side door switch panel with power folding mirror button
68155772AE - RH door module from Summit with power folding mirrors
68155773AE - LH door module from Summit with power folding mirrors

I have the last three parts sitting on my garage shelf collecting dust. The mirrors are obviously on my Jeep so you will have to order new ones. The ones specified above are the full blown ones with all the options. There are other ones that are power folding without blind spot indication and courtesy light.

Let me know if you are interested in the two modules and the door switch panel. PM me and we can discuss price. Might want to confirm these numbers match the Durango but I assume they will.

additions-
Nav, heated seats, vented seats, power seats, memory seats, power mirrors, heated mirrors, all requiring factory OEM vin codes. The key is this.... you need to get to the dealership. They need to call the WIC - warranty information center, and have the LER code added to your BCM> then have it re-flashed. Its not an add on or accessory, it gets added on as a factory item.

I have been taking Ram 1500 Express ,with zero options, adding heated steering wheels, complete center consoles, going from the 5.2 nav to the 8.4 , same as on the Jeeps - hardest ever- add the damn front and rear lockers! sometimes you need new wiring harnesses, sometimes, modules, but every Chrysler product can be flashed and added codes if they came in that model year as an option.

I am looking to do this to my 2015 Durango and would welcome any info on the 2014 part numbers on modules or mirrors or anything you guys have and I will post all my info here.

Just picked up a 2015 Limited w/luxury pks. Went with the Limited because I didn't want the air suspension in the Overland/Summit. I had power folding mirror on my last car, a Mercedes ML. Miss the approach lights and the folding option.

DocHoliday is correct. The folding mirrors are controlled by the door modules. The drivers switch uses a LIN bus to talk to the drivers module which uses the CAN bus to communicate with the passenger front door module. All the optional features are built into the vehicle but require the body controller to enable the function.

I added power folding mirrors to my 2011 RAM. Had to send my TIPM away to be reprogrammed. Since I was out of warranty, it wasn't a concern. The biggest risk is I am one recall/reflash away from potentially undoing my modifications. Has anyone gotten FCA to update their vehicle profile? If I could get them to endorse the change, I would add it now.

DocHoliday and I have been working on this over the past few weeks and just last week he got everything to work correctly on his Durango. He or I will post a formal response to this in the near future as he did all of the work, but in summary, yes, you can call the Warranty Information Center and have the specific option codes (in this case, LER & LEC) added to your VIN. Once those new option codes have been loaded you need to have your BCM reflashed with the new file which has those option codes active. As long as you have swapped out the door modules, switch panel and mirrors with the correct parts you will be good to go. Per your reflash concerns I don't think that will be an issue once the new option codes are tied to your VIN as every subsequent flash should have those already preprogrammed.

Re: Power Fold Mirrors

I wish mine had power folding mirrors. With 2 full size vehicles in a 2-car garage, I've got to walk sideways between my Jeep and F-150. The mirrors on both vehicles really stick out. Not something I gave much thought to until I got it home. Power mirrors would give me another 6 inches on a side.

Re: Power Fold Mirrors

Hello CWGrizzwold

When you contacted the Warranty Information Center did you go through a dealer or contact them directly? Picked up up a gently used pair of mirrors today so will be looking to do the upgrade soon. Thanks for your help with the project.

Re: Power Fold Mirrors

Does anyone know what the correct door modules are for a 2015? 68155772AE is no longer available and 68155773AE has been replaced with 68155773AF. Both are are noted as not being used on anything newer than 2014MY.

I did mine the hard way and hard wired them. DocHoliday is the one who has done this on his 2015 Durango by contacting the WIC. Reach out to him but I am pretty sure he has done everything through the dealership. I have reached out to him again for the 2015 door module part numbers as he had to order those for his 2015 after I sent him the 2014 modules I tried to make work a long time ago. Stay tuned.
