I realize that there are many factors here but I'm trying to ball park a good price for a new 2015 SRT that includes tow group IV, pano roof, SRT sound system, and the black chrome wheel. Dealer ask is $72,065 which is MSRP. I'm in the Sacramento area in California by the way.
I've been reading here and there that 2% below invoice can be had. Also sites like Edmunds and Truecar are giving a price of around $68K. Have you had/seem similar deals, better deals, is $68K a pipe dream?
It's not a pipe dream. The 2016's are on order. Trackhawk has been announced (causing people to wait for it). Be patient and don't be scared to travel for the deal you want.
FWIW I paid $55k for a 2014 SRT with 4k miles (sticker was $71k)...got the extended warranty thrown in to boot. Just thought I would throw that out there as you could save $12k++ for a low-mileage used 2015.
BUT if you do buy new, I am seeing $8-10k off sticker on 2015's...as Illegal said, the 16's are coming out and they will want to unload the 15's. Good luck with your purchase and let us know what you find!
I went to local dealer and tried to buy a 2015 with a sticker over $73k. They wouldn't budge off of invoice. Went and ordered a 2016, same options but added light weight wheels, just over $74k. Got it cheaper than 2015. I wouldn't buy a 2015 unless they gave me $10k off of sticker.
It depends on the volume of the dealership, and how many they have in inventory. Truth be told some dealerships are just more willing to work with you than others. You might have to do some research but you can absolutely get 15's at 2% below and sometimes better. We as a dealership are very aggressive with our 15 SRT8's right now because of timing and inventory.
Ahh, would explain why they r offering the 3rd party warranty....I have seen tens of CAN srt's in northern states for sale and bet the buyers were unaware...
My sticker was $70k and I think I paid $65k or $65.5.
On a sticker of $72k 2015 I'd pay $63k Max right now. It pisses me off but SRT grossly overproduced the 2015s. They are sitting all over the country. Go throw some numbers at them, don't budge, and walk away.
Edit: I just read above and people have already done this. Hell, I'd shoot for $61k
Welp ... It's 1:52 AM my time and I just pulled into the garage with my new SRT. Took some doing and looking but I found one I wanted about 2.5 hrs away.
2015. Black on black. Panno roof, SRT sound, tow hitch, black chrome wheels, and the 3 season tires (which I didn't want but whatever). Got a little over $8,600 off MSRP.
About 9 months ago my family and I moved closer to my work. My commute went from about an hour each way to just under 10 minutes each way and I loved every minute of the shorter commute ... Until today. Today I drove the SRT in to the office and, yeah, I no longer want a short commute.
I based my price on research I did on kbb and true car and took about 7% off of sticker on my 2016 srt. Held strong and dealer agreed. This was on 12/31. Easiest negotiation I've done, but I mean that as a compliment to my dealer. They didn't haggle very long and made it an easy experience as I based my negotiations on market data, not just because I wanted an arbitrary discount. Be informed, do your research and you'll pay nothing more than a very fair price. Naturally, the conversation had started as "we don't discount SRT's."
Rob did email me back. They didn't have any in stock but he said that he could order one for me (had five slots I believe). Seemed like a good guy and willing to deal but we missed each other by a few hours. When I saw his email I was already driving home with one.
I'm selling this Red Vapor if anyone is interested. My wife stopped working.

I ordered my 2016 SRT last Thursday (2/18/16) form a local dealer in the Philadelphia area. I am so pumped!! They said about 6 weeks for the truck to come in.
QUESTION: Does 6 weeks for an SRT order sound right? Has anyone received a build quicker?
OPTIONS ORDERED:
1) Redline Red
2) Sepia Leather
3) Dual-Pane Panoramic Roof
4) Trailer Tow Package
5) Black Chrome Split 5 Spoke Wheels
MSRP was $72,070
INVOICE was $68,839
I paid $67,600 (6.3% off MSRP, total discount of $4,470). Plus tax, tags, title.
Can't wait for the vehicle and to start tearing up the streets!! This forum has been great in helping making my decision and pick the right options for me!
You went with the 4WD Ferrari theme  Good choice, you should get to know the local popo in short order
Congrats! Waiting is always the hardest part. Clear the garage, get your detailing products staged and sign up as premium or above here so you can get Milous' detailed tracking and your complete true build sheet when she's built!
I got mine at David dodge. Great people to work with. Originally I was going to pick up a black one from Reedman Toll but changed my color choice from black to granite
I got about 9.5% off of MSRP on my '16. Pano, HK audio, trailer tow and lightweight forged wheels. Dealer threw in free oil changes(full synthetic) for 3 years(2 per year) and a $50 gas card. This was too good to pass up.
