LOL... I was wondering how long it was going to take for someone to notice that.

Real talk here so you know what to expect:

No one pays for extras or aftermarket stuff unless it really fits the vehicle they're looking for (e.g. race car, off-road Jeep, rebuilt classic). You're more inclined to get more because of the miles than the headers, CAI, brakes. 2016 are coming out soon so your private party goes down a bit more. Furthermore, people who buy vehicles like this want "a deal" , otherwise they'd just buy new.

I'll wait a sec while you sit down......................expect no more than $60k (and to be honest, it wouldn't surprise me if that took a while and the final price was closer to $55k)

Re: Prob going to sell my 2014 black

I put my supercharged 2014 with 9k miles completely back to stock with the exception of tint and vinyl wrapped chrome grill and window mouldings. Dealer bought it from me outright for $55500 and now I am selling off the mods..all said and done I will be a little better than $62k and was hoping to get $65k...my truck was white too which I am told is the most sought after color according to the dealer who bought it from me.

There you go Hank, looks like I was about right. You don't have an SC to recoup a large amount on but you have low mileage. I still think a private party sale or trade in number is about $56-57k.

Very quick story: Ya know how everyone says the desire for the WK1 version SRT is so high and they hold value so well?? That's BS. People for the most part just want a deal (or are cheap). Last august when I tried to sell our 2010 in mint shape with 28k miles I thought listing it at $34k would sell it in a day the way I always see people saying and doing $37k+. I got a bunch of dreamers offer $30k. I lowered it to almost $33k and still nothing. That was Black Book trade amount. Decided to give the dealer a shot and they gave me $33,500 TRADE value (plus the tax savings)! First time I have never sold one of my cars because I always undercut others pricing and it still didn't work. The WK2 is in a whole 'nother price realm where it has to be "a deal" that puts it low enough into their price range to afford it, otherwise they would have just bought new.

Re: Prob going to sell my 2014 black

^ Keep it. The other problem for you is your mods are highly personal. There are only a handful of people that they will appeal to. There are safe mods (chrome delete, minor drop, properly spec'd wheels, and then there are highly personal mods (tinted tails, colors added, crazy wheels, slammed, etc.) The difference being minor mods the car still has an OEM look which appeals to the majority of the population. It will not take a lot for a person to make this their own. Then the highly personal cars have more permanent mods which don't give people a lot of options.

If you really want to sell I recommended removing all of the red stuff you added, put in black or chrome grill rings and air intakes, remove the decals, put on OEM style badges, and then part out your extras.

BTW I do not dislike your car, I'm just stating an observation. The more coloring you do and other stuff the less likely your car is to sell...unless it's a themed car like Storm Trooper or Scott's bloodied. There was a guy with a 2012 blacked out with all sorts of red lights and stuff and it sat for ever. He probably could have sold it for more if it were stock. There's always a chance the right buyer will come along but your odds are better if it doesn't stand out too much.

When I sell my Jeep the Bwoody comes off, GTHaus, Wheels, etc. Only thing staying is the chrome wrap, Eibachs and black grill rings. That is unless someone likes my Jeep enough to buy it with mods, but I highly doubt. Plus I'd rather have the cash for those.

Not going to happen, especially with the red stuff all over it. Unless you have the original trim pieces in Chrome, it'll cost someone near $600+ to replace that stuff. I don't think most will want it. Don't think most will want the headers either. Remember, your buyer population is low to begin with because of vehicle and price, then chop that again to those who want a daily driver with headers and exhaust, then chop that again to those who like/want the red, then chop again to those willing to pay roughly $7k lower than a new one on a nearly 2yr old model and your buyer population is miniscule.

Reality; return to stock, expect about $56-57.5k private party sale. That's your probable cash in pocket close out on vehicle. Add to that money earned from selling headers and red pieces at a value of 50% what it costs to buy them new.

My input from a guy who's bought/sold/modded many vehicles.
