Re: Proof other Mineral Gray SRT8s exist, Schelp's Truck

Thanks guys. I have to say, after all of the frustration and wait, it's well worth it. For those still waiting I'd say to tough it out.

If anyone knows someone who wants a GTO for a price below auction value....let me know. I have the title, they bring me a check and they can drive it home as soon as it clears Like the Jeep so much the GTO may never get used LOL

Looks great Schlep, love the color. So you ended up getting it at David? I assume they finally returned your calls?

Congrats, enjoy the ride.

Re: Proof other Mineral Gray SRT8s exist, Schelp's Truck

Haven't driven the truck much, but have been taking it this week to work and have over 350 miles now. Found one thing I am not impressed with:

The Seats.

IMO, poorly designed and not as good as teh past. I'm guessing due to the ventilated/heated option. The back is OK, but the seat pan is terrible IMO. Not enough bolsters on the side to create the bucket to sit in. In addition, crunchy and slightly hard. The WK1 are better and my GTO's are still arguably the best seats I have ever sat in on the thousands (yes, literally) of vehicles I have been in.

Anyone find the heating and cooling of their seats very poor? I'm wondering if I need to take my vehicle in to be looked at. With khaki's on, a button up shirt, and leather jacket I can't feel any heat through my legs/back.

I ran both heat and cool through mine and I though it worked great. I used a caparison to the Dodge Durango Citadel I test drove a few months ago...I couldn't feel a damn thing from those seats so for me the Jeeps hot and cold is very noticeable.

Hmmmm, I think I am going to keep an eye on it for a little longer and then maybe take it in. Our WK1's seats are very noticeable on heat, as was our 2006 TBSS before that. In fact, those seats use to get HOT! That and the Nav was the only good thing about the truck LOL.

We've used my wife's heated seats a fair amount and they work great. I find both noticeable.
