I picked up my Night Edition a week ago and have a question regarding the normal running temperature of the engine.
This is what I have experienced so far;
Highway driving engine temperature 93 to 100 Deg C
Ideal engine temperature 100 to 103 Deg C
Stop/Start driving engine temperature 100 to 105 Deg C
Towing engine temperature 102 to 107 Deg C
Now being a new SRT owner these temperature's seem to be on the high side, I would have thought that the normal operating temperature to be around 80 to 85 Deg C if you are on the highway, stuck in traffic or idling, and then maybe up to 95 Deg C when towing.
This is the first vehicle that I have opened where the actual temperature indicator moves as the temperature degree's change, this is how I noticed the temperature changes.
Can anyone confirm that these temperatures I am experiencing are normal or not.
By the way I live in Australia down south in the cooler climate, the out side temperature hasn't been above 18 Deg C for the week.
Any comments will be greatly appreciated.
