Proud owner of a Velvet Red Night Edition

I picked up my Night Edition a week ago and have a question regarding the normal running temperature of the engine.
This is what I have experienced so far;
Highway driving engine temperature 93 to 100 Deg C
Ideal engine temperature 100 to 103 Deg C
Stop/Start driving engine temperature 100 to 105 Deg C
Towing engine temperature 102 to 107 Deg C

Now being a new SRT owner these temperature's seem to be on the high side, I would have thought that the normal operating temperature to be around 80 to 85 Deg C if you are on the highway, stuck in traffic or idling, and then maybe up to 95 Deg C when towing.

This is the first vehicle that I have opened where the actual temperature indicator moves as the temperature degree's change, this is how I noticed the temperature changes.

Can anyone confirm that these temperatures I am experiencing are normal or not.

By the way I live in Australia down south in the cooler climate, the out side temperature hasn't been above 18 Deg C for the week.

Any comments will be greatly appreciated.

Ya our Jeeps run hotter than most cars. Those are in line with mine in the Southern AZ heat

Any photos of yours?

Don't think so. All the emblems are silver

no but this is, same part...I think there is some reg about tire sticking out from wheel well as the JGC's with the black or body color well trim that sticks out a bit more laterally is enough coverage to not require these.

more AUS pics to see more of this part

2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Night Edition Auto 4x4 MY16

I have the part number around here somewhere, will post it when I find it....

EDIT: I cannot locate that print with the part numbers I snagged from an Aussie like 2 yrs ago....all 4 together are officially called a "Wheel Flare Extension Kit" on the equipment listing, no idea about build sheet sales codes....all I got, out
.

Re: Proud owner of a Velvet Red Night Edition

One of my plastic fender bits went missing after the dealer serviced it. Ripped the other rear one off, as it looked bad anyway. Still have the front ones on. Seem to be designed to comply with some stupid regulations. They are only clipped on, so many people find they just fall off randomly.

there is 2-sided tape under there too to hold the edges down, or not hold them down as the case may be

just bought the flares off fleabay, thinking of painting them and adding it as detail item. the color, would contrast the body. Based on your comments will need to really pay attention to install or have body shop do install. will report back on my progress
