Ram TRX - any JGCHC info?

The Off-Road-Ready Ram Rebel TRX Concept Is Nearly a Hellcat Pickup

Yea, not the Jeep HC, but I wonder if it provides any insight. 4WD Ram with the 6.2HC, 'detuned' to 575HP... Rumors of the Jeep not getting the full 707, I wonder if that number points towards where it will end up?

No idea, just found it interesting.

Re: Ram TRX - any JGCHC info?

This is going to be my opinion only but I think Grand Cherokee SRT owners are more interested in the performance aspect of what the Hellcat engine would bring to the table more then people that want and use the Rams. They may have detuned the HP but Boosted torque which is what you would want in a pick up.....my .02

Re: Ram TRX - any JGCHC info?

prob tuned for Torque like mentioned.

the 6.4L you get in a Ram 2500 is 410hp vs 475 for SRT's

Re: Ram TRX - any JGCHC info?

Good points. Torque is what gives the 8 speed fits now though. If they can push that through the truck and the rest of the 4wd drivetrain, they should be able to figure it out with the Jeep.

Re: Ram TRX - any JGCHC info?

Was just going to start a thread about this.

Here is another video on it.

I think this might point to what is coming in the Hellcat Jeep. When you listen to the guy, he says it is tuned differently and mated to a different tranny. I just get the feeling that FCA doesn't have a 4 wheel drive drivetrain that can handle the abuse of 700 ft/lbs and still maintain a warranty.
