Re: Real World MPG

I know you guys are commenting on your srts but my v8 is really bad as well.. I own a 2004 jeep grand cherokee v8 with same driving habits i get 14-13.7 average. Still poor but i should definitely be getting better or atleast equal

I'm in Toronto as well. Have 20k on mine and I average 16L/100km city/ highway. Yours is double so something has to be wrong.

Do you baby the throttle purposely trying to get amazing consumption or do you drive "regularly"?

Re: Real World MPG

I average 15-16 mpg in mixed driving. Occasional use of "sport" and never use Eco mode. If you do a lot of idling in city driving the big v8 uses a lot of gas ideling

Yeah i agree idling does affect mileage alot which i do often but to do an A and B comparison with 2 different v8s with same driving style something is not right when the newer car hasnt improved..i think we can all agree. I hope lol

Re: Real World MPG

Fuel consumption will rise in the winter as the gas blends change here. My experience with every vehicle I've ever owned is exactly that- from big Cummins Diesels to AMG turbo v8's. Mileage drops in the winter. By a lot.

I'm curious to try the 91 octane and see. I'm getting marginally better than ggrace but I'm not sure of using time differences etc.

Another good thing I do is use the highway quite a bit as it opens up the engine overall and cleans it up quite a bit.

Lastly get all the updates done and see if that makes a difference.
