Great info vapor.. Can i ask what app do you use to monitor your fueling? Im using gas tracker+ from fuelly but i really like how detailed your info is.. As of now here is my latest info on my mpg.. I auto start everyday and i sit and idle alot in manhattan ImageUploadedByJeepGarage1427042529.491321.jpg no shame in my game.. Could get better mileage but my driving habits suck due to work..

9.8 as an average wow that is about as bad as I have seen on the 5.7. remote start does chew into it more than you would think I used that a lot over the winter also. stop and go traffic is where v8s feel it the most and in Manhattan that's probably about as bad as it gets. but we don't buy these heavy things for mileage we buyem because we likem right

I have the same driving habits as you, Kaetone. I sell real estate downtown Toronto, so I'm always in stop-go traffic.

C'est la vie! These are fun trucks.

Re: Real World MPG

I got my 2015 SRT in November and it gets remote started each time I drive it, since purchase.

Highway city is 90/10.

I fully hammer it at least once each drive and am rather aggressive on the pedal most of the time in any case. I have it in ECO mode but since my blower was installed, I think it just lights up the ECO switch but doesn't actually do anything now.

Before Whipple install - 13.5 - 13.8 MPG
After Whipple install - 13.5 - 13.8 MPG (580 RWHP)

The blower really didn't change much in terms of fuel consumption, which is pretty cool, but I expect mileage to get a bit better after the winter. I think I'll see around 15.5 - 16.0 MPG combined.

Something seriously wrong with 6-7 MPG unless you're WOT from light to light.

That said, the cluster MPG indication isn't close to hand calcs...when my gauge reads 15.6 mpg average, I calculate 13.5.

Re: Real World MPG

Yeah im not worried about it anymore..at first i thought it was the truck until i went upstate and reset the mpg and actually seen average of 19.8 mpg but that was ruined as soon as i got back in lol.. I dont really drive aggressive to be honest just alot of idle time...if the temperatures were warmer the car would be off but im cozy lol.. Mpg sucks but my jeep is the truth! And on the plus note gas is going down and diesel is still up so i feel better getting gas now bc of the fuel drop.. Hope to see 1.09 again lol funny i remember when i started driving people were outraged gas was over 1.00 lol

I've only had the truck 3 months so I was auto-starting it every time I drove it (extremely cold winter here). Drive +95% big city traffic and will often let it run as I pop in and out of places.

I currently use Apple's Numbers spreadsheet app. My wife will email me her information when she fills up. I use Evernote on the iPhone to take a picture of either the receipt or the pump and another picture of my odometer. I will save them until I have time to enter the data in Numbers.

I keep track of all the maintenance, car washes, tire rotations in Numbers as well.

You could use Excel all the same, but I have switched to the Apple platform.

I have used Android version of aCar.
I have used Fuelly and other apps on the iphone.

I kinda liked aCar, but they all suck for entering the required data quickly.

When I fillup, I just want to get on down the road without having to mess with the data input, so I find this works for me.

Same here in Chicago, lots of stop and go and idling. Checked today and my average was 8.6 and I drive it fairly conservatively. Oh well, I don't mind the expense I just hate the thought of high consumption that lines the pockets of the oil companies.

Re: Real World MPG

ImageUploadedByJeepGarage1449793779.551837.jpg just wanted to give a update of my mileage.. I have monitored every fuel up since I owned the car.. 99 fill ups and this is what I got.. I also have had going on my 4th check engine light go off all for the same EVAP leak code P0465.. Don't know if that affects it or not but 3 times all this dealership has done is blame it on filling the car up and just flashing it clean for it to go off sometime later.. They will be doing a smoke test to see if they can source the leak.. Wish me luck
