They will be doing a smoke test to see if they can source the leak.. Wish me luck

i wish I can say i did but I'm very modest to be honest not much to drive fast when your sitting in nyc traffic.. I'm hoping there is some sort of improvement with this leak. Since I owned the car I have yet done a road trip and really stretch her out to see what she gets on open road on a full tank.. I take my older jeep on those trips and they are usually towing or camping trips and don't want to get my interior messy.. So until then I won't know if I got a lemon until I put in some genuine highway miles.. I've driven home 13 miles straight highway drive from the gas station and I've tapped 16.7- 21.9 mpg.. Never a number constant.. Need to put 400 miles highway on her and see how close the numbers turn out to what jeep claims..

ImageUploadedByJeepGarage1449804084.157846.jpg here's how the graph looks it can get into detail by 1/4s so like every 3 months or every 6 months or every month I believe.. Pretty cool to monitor and data log what you did to the car

Re: Real World MPG

I get about 8-11mpg in the city too. Seems about average if you don't do highway.

I also have a heavy right foot....and a big smile. Pretty sure they are connected.

Glad to hear your smiling and see that it's not far off in the average of real city driving..

Re: Real World MPG

Here are my fuel consumption figures. I've had the car for just over 6 months and get an average of 6.67 KM/L or 15.70 MPG (US)

2014 SRT KMPL.jpg

My daily drive includes equal amounts of city and freeway driving conditions. The speed limit on the freeway is 140 km/h (87.5 mph) and city driving is normal speed. I use 98 octane fuel.

Real World MPG

Kaetone - Mine is twice as efficient straight highway vs straight city.

Sndmn - I'm 24L/100km average since I bought it (1yr ago). Where is your limit 140km/hr? I wish!

Re: Real World MPG

ggrace - I'm usually around 14L/100KM. As everyone else has been saying, your fuel consumption seems really high.. have you talked to the dealer?

I live in Dubai - the freeway by me has a speed limit of 120kmph.. but you can go upto 20 over the speed limit without setting off the speed cameras.

The speed limit is 87.5 MPH that must be nice. Set your cruise control at 90 and just go. Wish we had that here, 65 MPH is the max in this area. Do they even enforce it when it is that high?
