I live in Dubai - the freeway by me has a speed limit of 120kmph.. but you can go upto 20 over the speed limit without setting off the speed cameras.

I just did a 50km highway run, 100-120km/h, and averaged 14.8L. That was with some bumper/bumper getting out of downtown. On longer highway runs I've been around 13L.

It's just my driving is all stop & go in a congested city.

I'm not in too much of bumper to bumper traffic luckily! Good to hear about your highway mileage.

Re: Real World MPG

They have speed cameras installed on the road and also have speed traps in certain areas. Generally, we can go 20kmph over the posted speed limit. I've never seen the cops pull anyone over for speeding, unless there are idiots driving at 200kmph, as some morons here do.

Nice so you could set cruise control at a leisurely 100mph and not have to worry about being pulled over. lol I need to move there

Yeah I'm in traffic in nyc for the most part.. I do about 40 miles a day 26 miles highway and sometimes half of that is congested with traffic so my traffic conditions hinder my mpg.. What's funny is my check engine light goes on and my mpg goes up

Lol gas. I don't even bother looking. What I do know is that I get better gas mileage with the Jeep than my supercharged Challenger SRT, so I guess that's a plus? Lol

Real World MPG

Ok so I went to North Carolina and drove 469 miles at a average speed of 69.82 mph and 6hrs 43 mins...the speed fluctuated between 55mph -70mph (64mph- 79mph all actuality) here's the math and here are my stats..ImageUploadedByJeepGarage1451592217.254254.jpgImageUploadedByJeepGarage1451592236.204164.jpgImageUploadedByJeepGarage1451592303.408771.jpgImageUploadedByJeepGarage1451592316.727274.jpgImageUploadedByJeepGarage1451592329.395411.jpg check it out,.. Keep in mind that I also have a check engine light this whole trip for a evap leak that I'm waiting for a appt to get handle smh .. According to them if it's not flashing it's not serious... Not sure if that affected the mileage or if that sounds about right.. ACC was used the whole trip and was always 9 above the speed limit..

Re: Real World MPG

I was worried about fuel consumption when buying the SRT, I shouldn't have worried. I average 1000km's per week travelling to and from work, so far fuel wise I've averaged 14L - 14.5L based on 70% freeway 30% city driving. I can't ask for better than this.

Re: Real World MPG

With gas at a 20 year low does it really matter what we are getting??? Ha ha I only put about 500 miles a year on my 14 anyway it only comes out in perfect weather conditions.

Re: Real World MPG

That's cool it's your toy car this is my everyday lol funny I stood away from SRT just cause of gas and it was going to be my everyday car but man hearing you SRT guys with similar miles leaves me in regret.. Nah but I need a more rugged car when I go camping and climb over rocky terrain and mud.. But your right who cares gas prices are getting better now and I have no regret with a v8.. Jeep dealerships on the other hand smh
