Re: Replacement tire comments requested.

Just put on parada spec x 295/40/20 (own size)... Great ride but not enough traction can squeal them without much throttle... Also sidewall doesn't hold the corners as good as the stock Pirelli... But much better ride and quiet...

I think they discontinued this size however...

I think will try the general UHP grapper next season

Re: Replacement tire comments requested.

My 14 SRT has 16K miles on her and just got a screw in the front tire. Cant get anyone to patch it (at least thats comfortable repairing runflats)and it may be time for new rubber anyways. The P Scorpions are loud and vibrate my Jeep a tad more than I want so Id like to get away from Runflats.

I saw a couple options from people above, can I get some more reviews on the replacement options? Would like to hear what you guys replaced yours with. Id like a smoother ride but also be able to travel 100+ mph at times (not very often but want to be safe if I have to go faster).

I live in Michigan so a smooth ride is desired! Let me know if you all have any more advice. Thx

Re: Replacement tire comments requested.

Anyone have anything good or bad to say about the Yoko Parada Spec-x? Looks like around $800 installed for all 4. Need to know if they are a good quiet ride for the SRT...

Re: Replacement tire comments requested.

I put on the paradas about 6 weeks ago and have found the ride to be quite pleasant compared to the run flats. Huge difference in ride quality imo.. The downside of course is a noticeable deterioration in cornering due to the softer sidewall. It's a pretty big trade off really.

If the run flats weren't so damned expensive and if they lasted longer, I'd be back on those just due to the improved performance.. All in all I would recommend the paradas and they look nice as well. I wish we had more options in the stock size..

Re: Replacement tire comments requested.

So are there really only one or two same size tires out there for the SRT? So if I go with 40's on the 295 can the dealer update my tire size? I do have a DS Trinity has anyone update theirs using the tuner? Thanks for any help

Re: Replacement tire comments requested.

Agree with Since1941... Love the ride of parada... Also very good in rain.. And quiet... But cornering and rapid takeoff you loose the grip... I wish I would have got the general grabber UHP... But these are good

Re: Replacement tire comments requested.

I'm only 5k miles on my ride so I haven't changed from the runflats yet, but after some research, I'm going to run a summer/winter setup with the General Grabbers in the summer and the Pirelli Ice and Snow in the winter.

I have the General UHP in factory size on mine. They've been great...

How is road noise with the generals? Are they a quality tire? Any pros or cons you can list?

Re: Replacement tire comments requested.

Pros:
- Cheap
- Same size
- Aggressive tread pattern (my opinion, but these are the closest to the BFG KDW that isn't made in our size any more)

Cons:
- Haven't found one yet. They've been equivalent to the 3-seasons and I'm guessing they'll last longer than 15k miles for less than half the price.

Re: Replacement tire comments requested.

One of my big concerns between the Grabber and the Yoko is that fact that the Yoko is marketed as an All-Season and the Grabber is 3.

Thx guys, still not sure if im going with the Paradas or Generals. Generals sound better now that someone has chimed in!
