You want snow go DWS or Dedicated snow tires.

Re: Replacement Tires non-run flats

Are you serious about the 12K on the Pirelli tires? I just took my 2014 SRT (15K miles) back to the dealership because my front two tires are showing metal in the inside. They said everything checks out with the alignment and the strutting. Is this really possible. I don't run the vehicle that hard. Is the Texas heat eating these tires or should I be making a warranty claim with Pirelli???

Are you running 3 seasons? 12k is about it on the summers. All seasons about 18k

DWS? I am thinking a snow tire may fit into this someday, but not yet. I've always heard that all seasons are truly excellent at mediocrity. However, the Michelin LTX tires I have on my Lincoln are fantastic in the snow. Although they are M/S, they are also all season tires. I haven't bought too many tires, so I can't really say what makes a better piece of rubber in my opinion. All I do know is that I'll probably never buy a Continental tire again as I've never had such an all around poor preforming tire.

So, has anyone tried these Yokohamas in the snow? The ratings on tirerack and tire 10/10 seem to be pretty good.

Re: Replacement Tires non-run flats

Anyone, can I use the rims that my run flats are on to put regular tires on?

Re: Replacement Tires non-run flats

I was told that the rims on the SRT were "special" and they will not take a regular tire because they were designed to only take a run flat tire. That being said, the guy telling me this was trying to get me to buy more run flat tires. He said it requires a special machine to change run flat tires?

Take your business elsewhere, tell that guy to pound sand, and that you don't like being lied to.

Big Brand Tire dismounted my run flats off my spider monkeys and installed the Toyo's on the Goliaths (all toral it was around 2 hours for everything)...they did not mention any special equipment, but they did put their best installer on the job at my request. Tires went on perfectly with no issues...over 500 miles now and the non-run flats are great!! DO NOT go back to that shop...they only want your $$

Re: Replacement Tires non-run flats

Mine were done at a Mavis. They didn't give me any grief swapping the Yokohamas onto the goliath rims.
