Anyone have any feedback on these? I have come across reviews on here about the aggressive drops, but nothing really about the mid levels - other than talk of them coming out.
Looking for pics of your beast with the mid levels, too, please.

I apologize if this is the wrong place for me to be asking, but I figured it would be seen by the people who knew the most about it...

I've read about the control arms being beneficial for any drop with the SRT, but should the arms be used for a non-SRT WK2 lowered on the mid level springs? Would they actually be beneficial or not really affect much with the difference in height not being as low as an SRT would be with the same spring setup?

Just trying to learn as much as possible and start saving for everything if so.

BTW, the Black Ops control arms look amazing and I'd be stoked to use such well manufactured/engineered products on my Jeep.

Really depends on your use honestly if you want to track it you will see benefits even some highway driving since it will stop with a lot of Rebound and deflection since everything is engineered to not only correct Camber and Toe but stiffen.

The hight of the vehicle will not change. The stiffening of any suspension for performance will never hurt any vehicles but they are also not a Need to have part unless you are on the Extremes and some kids from case to Case the Mids need em too.

Thanks for the compliments we are also working on a Rotomolded Cold Air Intake and a few other parts to make you all go

I plan on lowering my 15' Altitude with the road magnets... But this thread is making me wonder if I should. I'm not going to track my car but I do drive aggressively.

I don't have the tow option, so I don't have to worry about the load-leveling shocks. Do I still need to purchase the control arms? or anything else? or will I be good with just the springs?

Why would driving aggressively matter? Unless it's off road, you will probably notice that it drives a lot better on the street "aggressively".

And you shouldn't need anything else but the springs, especially if you aren't going on the track with it.

I've found I have to jump up a little when getting in my truck (I'm 5'10"). Trying to be easy on the driver seat bolster.

My wife's X5 has running boards and it has OEM air suspension and I often lower it when I park.

Have been thinking of lowering the SRT just to make it a little smoother to get in & out of. This drop looks good.

OT - what's with your neighbour's windows?

LMAO everybody comments on the neighbors window when I post pictures outside my house. He has shades outside of the windows, that are color matched to his house. Guessing it helps with the UV, and getting the sun blocked when it's beaming on the windows. Mine are tinted so don't need those shades

If you want a mild drop, I can sell you my used Eibachs that I just took off. But in my opinion, go with these Road Magnet Mids, they're a million times nicer ride/comfort wise, and drop the car much more evenly. The Eibachs dropped the car so little it didn't look lowered at all!

Go with the RM Mids. I had the Eibachs, and swapped for these, and it is a night/day difference. The eibachs barely dropped the car, and the ride was very rough. You can feel each crack in the road with the Eibachs. These RM Mids feel just like OEM, very comfortable ride! Also drop the car much more, you can actually tell the car is lowered now

I'm sold on the RM mids after reading this thread. Had Eibachs on my WK1 and wasn't happy with the way it felt
Same here, Eibachs FTL on the SRT Jeeps! RM Mids are the way to go on these cars.

I put the mid level road magnets on and it looks great! My only issue i am having right now is that i have a service adaptive system damper warning on my dashboard when i scroll on the screen to the message center. Also if you have 285 40 22 tires it will rub on your front fender. I am going to put a smaller tire on and will post a pic or 2.

These are the road magnets mid levels with 285/40/22 tires all around. If you go with the mid levels road magnets you might have to go down a size on the front tires. My tires started rubbing the fender in the front. I had to change the front tires to a 265/40/22 size. I do not have that problem anymore.

Theres sensors on each wheel...youve probably nicked/bent or snagged one during install
They are pretty cheap if you figure out which one it is.

Re: Road Magent Mid Levels

Scott,

How does it handle?
Does the jeep still have the nice turning radius?
Did you see any fuel consumption changes?
How to the tires wear?

Thanks,
Like it's on rails and yes same radius.

I have the hybrid drop...so I have a tiny bit of camber. Not much wear yet on my 305 35 22 pirellis

I'm on 20's with stock tire size and mids. Here's a pic for reference to compare to Scott's on hybrids and 22's above.
My wife didn't want me to add springs bc we road trip my SRT and she remembers all my previous drops on our other cars. They were firm and bouncy with Eibach's on most of them. These RM's installed, she can barely tell the difference in ride quality even on Sport. They let me brake later and accelerate earlier out of curves. Freeway ramps :p
