Road Magnet Review

Ill admit I always liked the looks of the road magnet springs more than the Eibach. I didnt know much about the springs a few months back when I put my eibachs on. I was skeptical of any possible problems to come out of the deep drop of the road magnets. Black Ops hooked me up a with a set and I put them on last night.

I have to say I literally couldnt be any more pleased with them. From the look to the ride. I thought the eibachs felt good to drive, these road magnets are PERFECTED. Those of you who had them on your old jeeps and hated them should try out the new ones. I promise you will love them. The ride feels 1000 times better. I was worried about it being too stiff and its not at all. When you put it in to track mode you feel like you just put a Viper GTS into gear. The handling is much improved from the eibachs. I have no tire rub (285-35-22) or clanking of any kind. I drove over speed bumps and everything was great. FOr those of you who are on the edge on which kit to go I would HIGHLY recommend this kit if you want the lower drop look. It not only looks better but also drives better.

Also Black ops is designing new rear control arms which will correct any negative camber for those of you who are worried about it. I am 100% satisfied with my decision. Hope this helps you people who were on the fence.

Re: Road Magnet Review

Are those the original RM's, or the new versions that have a less aggressive drop?

And can you perhaps explain the issues that come along with negative camber?

These are the original more aggressive drop. Basically only negative part to camber is rear tire wear is heavier. Black ops auto works is in the process of designing a rear control arm to eliminate the negative camber so I am not worried about it. Besides that there are no major issues

Re: Road Magnet Review

We are doing adjustable arms for those concerned with tire wear and camber!

We don't see the camber as a major issue at all. I spoke with an SRT suspension engineer at the NYAS and he explained to me the Camber and how they actually like it.

Read below as proof what they did with the viper!
4th paragraph down click the DRIVESRT link below!

Here is an alignment sheet for them.

Yours will ship today Joey had to Powdercoat a fresh set for ya!!

Re: Road Magnet Review

how do they handle extra weight in the back? I know road magnet says they will handle 2,000lbs towing. I tend to load up the rear and have 2 adults sitting in the back seat, does it drop down any lower with weight? Chad how long before your rear arms are ready and can you shoot me a pm on price shipped to 93536. Any possibility of getting the 1.8" fronts with the 1.8" rear, 1" in the front just is not enough for my taste thanks!

The arms are months off could be weeks but every time I say that it turns into years in the making LOL.

The price is undetermined at this point sorry my guess is as good as yours Haa.

I can do the 1.8x2 F&R but the look will be on you I know you can probably put the picture together in your head what they will look like installed from all the pictures online just make sure that's the look you want cool?

Re: Road Magnet Review

After looking at the pics the 1.8 and 1.8 may be a good look for those who are concerned with the camber until the adjustable arms are released.

No I wouldn't worry about it dropping anymore. They are pretty strong springs. My truck actually bounced a lot more with the Eibachs. These springs keep the truck straight and never really bounce. People in the back shouldn't make any difference.

I never did answer the question either as to the passengers.

The original test fitter pulls a boat and has no issues he said.

Re: Road Magnet Review

I love the looks of the lowered SRT with 22s but here in my country the speed humps are high and I'm afraid it could scratch my car when I go over them. So I may not lower my car.
