RS7 Audi or hellcat jeep?

So first off I absolutely love my 15' especially after the gt Haus system. So much fun and versatile. Really have zero complaints. Well except one lol. Want something faster but with still decent versatility as its my DD. The 2014+RS7 seems to be quite a car. AWD, 4.0L TT 560hp/515 tq. Mid 11's quarter and high end luxury barge. 8spd auto I think same as the jeep srt!

Now I realize these are very different vechiles at different price points. For my needs I do not need more then 4 seats so Audi is still ok in that area. Don't need to tow. Live in NYC so not terrible snow falls but I do need an all weather vechiles so I'd need to get all season 20's for the Audi as most seem to come with the 21's summer tires.
I'd would be picking up a slightly used/CPO one as new would break the bank. Looking in the mid 80's to mid 90's range which isn't bad considering these can touch 140 new. At these used prices I'm figuring this will be around the same as a new Hellcat Jeep if built. I realize this thread is based on speculation btw lol.

Anyway in summary. Used RS7 or new hell cat jeep. 90k range. Never owned an Audi before and have heard horror stories. But I also heard horror stories about jeep and I'm glad I took the gamble. Thoughts.

Re: RS7 Audi or hellcat jeep?

Two completely different vehicles, Audi is the better built and refined vehicle. I'm a former S4 and RS4 owner and had zero issues. A tune and exhaust on that TT V8 will make some nice power. Another option might be a Panamera Turbo........

kind of a waste of a car in a big city unless you like to Rev the engine in bumper to bumper traffic! For serious tho jeep is probably better even tho its not made yet and we know nothing of what it may end up.

Re: RS7 Audi or hellcat jeep?

I'd go for the Hellcat Jeep. It sounds like it's going to be an awesome ride and if it retains its tow rating will offer more utility than the Audi. I wouldn't kick the Audi out of my garage though. They make some beautiful cars.

Re: RS7 Audi or hellcat jeep?

The porsche is way too much and I actually like the Audi looks better. Plus it's more of a sleeper. Granted the porsche interior is nicer IMO. I realize both are different vechiles. But both do fall into the priced points new vs used. So that's why I'm bouncing it around in my head lol. I see that a tune gets you to the 10's ! Just crazy.

Good to hear you had no issues with yours. Thanks for the input.

On a side note I was at the dealer and asked what my jeep would bring in on trade with 19000 miles. Sales snake said 57-59. I was surprised at that number.

Re: RS7 Audi or hellcat jeep?

What if you didn't need the tow or off road capabilities of the jeep? I do love being high up in a truck vs car though. That is what I think is the biggest compromise between the two. Plus if the urge was there the Audi seems to have a ford gt like bullet proof drivetrain so a tune is interesting. Stock exhuast note is sweet as well.

I guess the Audi repair cost might scare me a bit. Also I'd compare headroom and legroom. Some Audi's have very tight interiors with cramped headroom and no room for anybody with legs.

Have you thought about supercharging your SRT? Seems very easy to pull another 200+hp out of them. You'd have a sub 4 second 0-60 beast that sounds amazing with that exhaust system of yours.

Re: RS7 Audi or hellcat jeep?

As far as Audi repair costs I would definitely have a warrantee on this thing and most likely a CPO car.

As for modding my jeep further, the cost of modding is fairly high plus I really don't wanna boost a stock engine so now I have to forge the bottom end too. Then the durability of the transmission is a concern. And it seems tuning for the 15' is another headache. I'd rather just buy something comparable from the factory. That's why the Hellcat jeep is so appealing.

RS7 Audi or hellcat jeep?

I just read this topic and an interesting comparison given I was thinking through the same exact comparison for the past two months. This is what I decided on. I had a 2014 Jeep SRT that I loved but always wanted to get back to a sports sedan. I mean, our Jeeps are fast but they can't really corner like a true sports sedan. I had mine supercharged with the RIPP 2 kit. No problems with it ever. Immaculate condition with 34k miles, Max Steel color. It's for sale right now at the Toy Barn in Dublin, OH for $56k. I got a little over $50k for it in trade. I think a fair deal with the supercharger upgrades I put into it.

I was also looking at the RS7s but they were always a little out of my price range. I ended up trading it for an immaculate Audi S6. 2014, Prestige package with B&O sound system, already APR tuned, AWE touring exhaust, lowered, tinted and built in custom K40 radar with laser Jammers. A great buy at around $53k. The reason I think the S6 is a better buy than the RS7 is that for about $10k, I can upgrade the turbos, coolant and downpipes and have an S6 as fast as a stage 1 RS7 or RS6. The main difference between the two are the turbos and tuning. It's already an AMAZING car and incredibly fast with the APR stage 1 ECU&TCU tune, runs quarter mile in mid 11 seconds and 0-60 mid 3 seconds.

Here's picture of my Jeep I traded:

Here's pictures of my new to me S6. I maybe back to the Jeep, when the Hellcat comes out but for now, I'm going to have fun with this.

Lol. I know, it was a great fun vehicle but was starting to get a little anxious with the longevity of the engine being slightly boosted. My wife got a company car SUV so didn't need two SUVs in the garage. Absolutely needed AWD in northern OH. S6 is a blast of a vehicle and is a sleeper in its own space, which I like. Not many sports sedans better in my opinion.
