What would you say is a good price to have all of that done with a clear film? Thank again for the detailed information
I live in an expensive area with very few places doing this work so there's little competition, and prep is the most expensive labor intensive part, but I can tell you that my friend with a brand new SRT got:
4 Layers of "9H" on the paint
1 top layer of "Light" on the paint
1 Coat of "Rain" on all glass and metal trim, and "Plastic" on all plastics.
1 Coat 9H on wheels
Black Magic, which is a long term tire blacking treatment
$1200 with lifetime warranty against chemical/environmental/uv paint damage.
1 Coat on all interior surfaces of Leather, Plastic, and Metal trim.
Full "commuter" film (vs just the full nose) as described above.
I went nuts and got the "extreme" package which ups the 9H layers to 9, and everything else that's 1 layer to 4 layers for another $1000 above those prices. The additional layers don't really improve the appearance over 4, but provide a deeper "sacrificial layer" against scratches. Took 6 days from start to finish because of curing time between steps.
Not cheap (but may be much cheaper in your area based on labor costs). I've discovered guys in this business are willing to give substantial cash discounts, so offer 30% less than their quote with payment in cash.
Again, as someone who spent ridiculous amounts of time trying to keep my vehicles pristine here in the Northeast this is a like a dream come true. To make life even easier, I feed my pressure washer with demineralized water from the CR Spotless system so I don't even have to bother drying it off. Just hit it with the pressure washer and walk away letting it spotlessly air dry.
