Re: Sepia interior

Cage, i know what you mean, but the more i see the pics the more it grows on me. I really don't think it is as bright as some pics portray, Scott can attest to this, fleuro lighting does give a different colour perception. Bottom line, i wanted full leather, if i had to wait to see one in real life here in OZ, it would not be until next year before i see it parked in my garage.

Just heard back from Milous re the full black laguna leather. See below;

"Don't know if/when it will be offered in Australia. I haven't been able to nail down a date even for the U.S., Just a guess, but I would say summer at the earliest..."

Hope you don't mind me posting this Milous.

Trying to pin down the exact color of this leather is difficult with the existing autoshow photographs. Changing from a nasty orange to a very expensive looking tan/brown. In those orangeish pictures the sunroof shade is open and the indoor lights are shining through the black tinted sunroof causing a great distortion of the color IMHO. The close up should be the closest representation which is why it looks so much different.

Re: Sepia interior

This is the picture (already posted somewhere in the "2014 SRT - features and changes" thread) that made me interested in the new Sepia interior. It is from the Viper, but the lighting seems natural enough to have a proper rendering of the actual color:
2013 SRT Viper picture: 483048 - Top Speed
And I think it looks really good. But it kind of makes me regret that Jeep didn't extend the sepia parts to the dashboard (like in the 11'-13' "new saddle" interior pictured here: http://www.wk2jeeps.com/images/2011_..._Summit_01.jpg)

Re: Sepia interior

There are some 2014 JGC's right near me. I think there are two summits. I'll see if they have the sepia in them and if they do Ill try to take some high quality pics and color correct them to represent it as close as possible.

I think that everyone is right and these are helpful photos, but not going to show real color. I am going with my gut and the photo shows the red seatbelt latch and it looks ok. I have placed the order. I don't think Jeep intended to release a full black leather for quite some time. it will be a "perk up" at mid-model year. My patience will not hold up-- so off I go. I will send pics when it does finally show up. Earliest July if I hold my place in line; September if I have to cancel the current order

I thought the sepia was an SRT only option?

Have a look at the below link on the wall in the background, the black interior. Pause it at around 15sec. That looks like full black leather to me and it is an SRT but funny enough it says SRT8 on the poster but it is definitely a 2014 model as you can tell by the steering wheel. So my guess is this is an early design before the change to SRT and it will eventually come out. I have to wait, cause if Milous guess is correct it is only maybe 3 months away.

Nice eye! I agree that looks like full leather in the background poster.

Yep. I did not know that. I thought I saw a picture of an overland with one. The 2014 overland is really sharp in person though. There were about six 14's on the lot and I believe that none of them were spoken for.

Re: Sepia interior

What bothers me as we wait to find out when or if the Sepia and Black Laguna will become available, is that the suede headliner is not standard or an option regardless of the seat color/material. I sat in a new Summit this weekend and that headliner is SWEET. If we are going to pay for the most expensive jeep why cant we have what is standard on the summit?

I could be wrong, but I remember reading about the Sepia upgrade somehwere and it said that it also included an upgrade of the headliner. I see your point that the SRT should start with the best of everything in the Summit and only go up from there.
