I was interested in that as well, but I want a true CAI, waiting to hear more about Black Ops here. The filter on a stick intakes (injen, etc) don't do much for the SRT, it just looks cool and makes noise, I actually don't see how they don't decrease power in most of the powerband, all it sucks in is hot air. I'm sticking with my OEM intake with a drop in filter until something comes out that isn't super expensive and actually has some proven power gains.
We had a 3rd party dyno test our carbon fiber CAI on a 392 engine (in a Challenger, not a Jeep, though) and it gained 11 rwhp. There's not going to be a vast difference in CAI kits as far as power, although ours has done very well in tests and remains extremely popular. The carbon looks cool (and is cooler than a metal tube) and we are able to price it nicely at $249.88 as well.
I have one on my ride, again not a big noticeble differance but better throttle response than stock. Not too loud either! I got it for the CF and it was a good deal along side the Trinity!
thanks every1 for the input, i am trying to have something proper to where i am living(hight T) and i think i will just wait for the BLACKOPs one to see what will be the result.
