Question Squeaky Borla ATAK ?

I have a 2014 SRT with Borla ATAK exhaust that has recently starting producing some squeaky noises when downshifting or suddenly accelerating.

Video : https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...ky%20borla.mp4

You can notice a squeak just before accelerating and also at downshifts. It's quite annoying and audible.

Does anyone know what might be causing this?

Re: Squeaky Borla ATAK ?

It's the exhaust valves...not the exhaust. I just had mine cut out.

I thought it might be unrelated to the borla. What's the solution? Oiling the valves?

Re: Squeaky Borla ATAK ?

Mine sounded identical... Quite embarrassing. I Can confirm it is the exhaust valves. Dealership put mine up on a lift and found that to be the source. They replaced the entire exhaust system (minus the tips) and even reinstalled my Borla Atak- all under warranty. No more chirping sound on acceleration... Now I just have to locate and squash the squeaking sound coming from my engine when I first start the vehicle!

Re: Squeaky Borla ATAK ?

So I believe I have the same issue... Have a 2014 39k miles Borla ATAK ... Thought is was a pulley but no it is the exhaust ... Just push the gas and it squeaks and squeals ... Then is gone

Any pros or cons on cutting out vs getting replaced... If I cut out what replaces it ? Sorry for the dumb questions

Thanks in advanced

Re: Squeaky Borla ATAK ?

Its not the borla more than likely. Probably the oem valves.

Re: Squeaky Borla ATAK ?

Agreed... Now the question cut them out or replace?

Re: Squeaky Borla ATAK ?

Rather than cut them out, couldn't one just do the "move the wire" to keep them open trick? I thought about trying it myself, but I noticed they twist in either direction when up on the lift. Wasn't sure which way would be open or closed...
