SRT experience

I know this topic has been covered previously, but it never really seemed to be resolved. I had been wondering what accommodations SRT was going to offer us, however after getting off the phone with them a few moments ago, it is clear there are none. As an SRT owner in NY, the thought of going to AZ for the track experience is absolutely absurd.

When I raised my concerns, the person I spoke with told me that they are still offering the experience and nothing has really changed except for the location. I don't know what your thoughts are, but this is unacceptable to me.

I know some people here said they didn't buy their SRT for the track experience, however it is something that was a feature of the car included in the price of the vehicle. To say you didn't buy the SRT for the track experience is like saying you didn't buy it for the ECO mode. Both things are features, whether we were going to use it or not they factored into the price of our trucks.

If I recall correctly, the price of the SRT experience for a person without a vin was between $600-800. That is nearly 1% of the price of these vehicles. What are the options available to us? While I'm not sure of the numbers, there should be thousands of SRT owners affected by this decision.

Re: SRT experience

Only option as of now, is either go to the track experience or just not go. No more transfer of vins/gifting like they use too.

Re: SRT experience

It was advertised at a track near YOU. We should be compensated for it, they change the program at there convenience. They should have waited out the remainder of the model year and then changed their schedule with the 2016 launch the same way they changed the life time warranty.

Re: SRT experience

Booked mine for May 1. The track is about 100 miles from me...Lucked out big time.

Was told there will be Chargers, Challengers, Vipers and Hellcats. They said a lot of people dont do manuals so you could spend most of the day in the Viper

If you are going to do it, sign up now. The only dates left soon will be in the summer and it could be 115 degrees outside

Re: SRT experience

I have done the SRT experience in 2012 at a track 60 miles from home. Personally it wasn't really anything to write home about, then again, I am biased since I do many track events with my race car. My suggestion would be to sell your SRT experience voucher (if they still allow it) and with that money attend a two day track event with your SRT where they place an instructor in the car with you at no charge and teach you how to drive your car fast on a track.......

FWIW, since it's now run Bondurant they offer $1k credit against any multi-day program they offer...abeit still in Phoenix....

...and the gifting/selling VIN is gone...

That may not be a bad option, but it is a shame that you can't do it locally or sell the voucher anymore......
