SRT High Performance Audio

What's the difference between this and the 825 watt audio system that's standard on the Summit and optional on the Overland? Thanks in advance for your help.

But the system that's standard in the Summit and optional in the Overland is also 19 speakers. That's why I'm wondering what the difference is. And the option price for the SRT is $1000 more versus the Overland. I assume there must be a substantial difference, and I'm curious what the extra $1000 is for. Thanks.

Oh I thought you meant the base 8 speaker system.

Re: SRT High Performance Audio

I did find this in case anyone is interested:

Harman Kardon Automotive Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT

But according to the specs on Jeep's website the following is what's standard on the Summit and optional on the Overland:

The Harman Kardon® Logic 7® GreenEdge® Audio Group amplifier offers superior sound quality with minimum energy consumption that uses up to 55% less energy than traditional amplifiers.

Looks like the same system.

I was thinking the same as you, but Jeep charges $995 for the upgrade in the Overland, but $1995 for the upgrade in the SRT. And the upgrade is over the same standard 506 watt system in both the Overland and SRT. In the Overland they describe the upgrade as a 19 speaker Harmon Kardon system with subwoofer, and in the SRT it's described as the SRT High Performance Audio system.

I can't figure out what the extra $1000 gets you in the SRT. Maybe they just think SRT owners are willing to pay more? :-)

Re: SRT High Performance Audio

It may be a little pricey, but I think the sound is excellent (except maybe for a tendency to be a little too bass-heavy with certain kinds of music - even with bass turned way down on the eq). One of the best automotive sound systems I've heard. Worth the price IMHO.
