I'm ordering TODAY! Wish there were more pictures out there, other then the ones from the LA auto show etc. Plus, I can't seem to find it anywhere on the Jeep site yet.
I'm not sure you can get it to over $80k. MSRP on mine (NOT what I paid) was $76,660 with the destination charges and the only two options I didn't select were the rear entertainment and the single CD player. I'm not sure of the cost of those two options but still think it would be hard to get over $80k.
Production started a couple of weeks ago. Mine is built and at body now getting the parts and pieces put on. It was built on 5/16 and been in body since 5/18. I'm told the process is a bit slow. NO RUSH for me!
I've been watching yours. That's why I'm asking. It still shows D1. I thought they were only coming in three colors. So I ordered a black 16 SRT. I would've waited if I would've known. It's ok though. I've got 8000 miles on mine and it's only three months old.
So they announced additional colors sometime in mid-March...I just kinda' found it by accident on the site. I'm glad because most of the colors they announced with didn't really thrill me, in fact, I ALMOST bought a non-Night SRT myself before they announced the additional colors.
As for my build, STILL in JB status at the body shop . Its been there since the 18th! I've asked my dealer and Milous for updates but both come back with the same JB Body Shop response. Speculation is that they are backed up with orders and production.
I DON'T want to rush the process, just DAMN anxious to get my new ride.
BTW- How do you like yours? Everything on the 16 SRT good? Issues? things I should know or watch out for? Any mods you've done?
I love it! Everything is great! I like the new shifter better than my 14 and the valet mode is nice. Only mod I have done is the RB 2 piece rotors and pads from Black Ops. Brake dust drove me crazy and I like the looks of the 2 piece slotted rotors. Stops great and no noise.
I just looked at a black night edition. Very nice! Looks like the badging is a satin black instead of the gloss black. I got the vin so I'm going to try to get some part #'s from dealer. Might be too soon, but I'll post #'s when I get them. I'll check on wheels also.
As you may know, by my order, it takes awhile! I was in body over 2 weeks! I'm not real impressed with Jeep's (FCA) ability at moving special editions through the system. Hopefully yours moves faster then mine.
Dealer just called me back saying they cannot place the order for me. There is only a certain amount that can be ordered throughout the country according to corporate. SMH
On a similar note, I know that the Night package is considered a "Limited Edition" vehicle by Jeep. Does anyone know what the total production numbers will be limited to? I'm guessing it might be similar to the 75th anniversary models, but I haven't seen any numbers so far for either.
Got another call from the dealer, they were able to track down another Night edition from another dealer and do a dealer swap, exactly how I wanted it too. What are the chances!
In the end it kind of worked out because instead of waiting 2-3 months and having it factory ordered as it was originally planned, all I have to do is wait 2 weeks now!
Nice! You got lucky with that situation  I haven't seen any night editions out and about in the real world, much less in dealer inventory with a dealer willing to transfer.
Congrats- make sure you post some pics when it gets home!
