SRT oil filters and Thermostats

Im almost ready for my second oil change. Should I go with the SRT filter or something else?

Also, you guys that have swapped thermostats, is it really worth it? I know the computer adjusts fuel mixture, timing, etc among many others with the values of the air, fuel quality, etc......But, wont the computer fight the lower engine temp with all the values mentioned? Without a "tune" controlling all these values seems like the OEM puter would adjust to a richer setting and compensate for a colder engine reducing HP.

Am I way off base here?
