SRT and Ducati Multistrada here. Kids know to treat both with respect. I own dogs, but they are invisible fenced from the stall my SRT is parked. Labs love to chew things.

Re: SRT Owners with Kids Thread

I got a black diono Ranier seat in the back of my black/black srt. It fits and looks pretty good. Also got seat covers for the rear seat, top and bottom, to help keep the seat looking ok in the future

It's the wife's DD with the kid, so it gets pretty dang dirty, especially when she brings the cat along for a trip to the inlaws. I have a small anurism whenever I get back from a work hitch and see the condition of it. I spend lots of time detailing it when I am home, but for sure it's tough to get a whole day of peace to clay, buff, polish, wax, etc with a rug rat running around.

Trying to get her to sell her 328i convertible so that I can start building "daddy's toy" (hopefully a super lite SL-C). She doesn't want to get rid of the dang thing!

I thought when you had kids you were supposed to get a minivan! And give up your hopes and dreams! Bunch of dudes talking about color matching car seats to their truck is kind of giving up I guess...but not as bad as I had thought at least. Viva!

Minivan is da sheat if you have kids. It's a life changer man.

Anyway, here's what you have to deal with if you have kids. Gotta love it.

That tv screen should crush their toes every time they touch the back of the seat. And I mean crush.

Hahah or maybe the screen should just turn off when the back seat senses little feet pressure.

Re: SRT Owners with Kids Thread

Sometimes I wish everything I own was coated with a layer of peel off plastic. That way when the kids finally move out I could just peel it off and my stuff wouldn't be destroyed. Man kids are hard on stuff and just when you think you've got them trained......their friends show up.

This is so accurate. Everything I own is trashed because of my two little ones. They are so busy and everywhere with everything.

Re: SRT Owners with Kids Thread

I know just what you all mean. What I ended up doing was moving the passenger seat up towards the glove box and the back of the seat at a 90 degree angle just to keep my daughters feet from touching the back of the seat. This helps a lot. Also if it is really nasty outside I will wedge a towel under the headrest that drapes down the back of the seat to cover it. Works wonders.

Re: SRT Owners with Kids Thread

Agreed. That's why the kids go in my wife's car instead of the JGC. If they come with me, the go in the Scrambler so it can be hosed out. :-)

We gave up on nice stuff for the house... other than cribs/beds we've only bought used furniture since the kids were born.
