Figured I start one for SRT owners with kids thread.

So what booster seat and/or carseat are you guys using in your SRT? I'm looking for one that will go well with my laguna tan leather.

I only have an infant so far and my interior is black, so naturally I went with the all black Recaro infant seat. We are looking at the next seat to be Recaro as well, but with some red in it. It doesn't matter that it's for a girl.

Yeah, making a car seat out of leather is a bad, bad idea. It'll get food, vomit, boogers, poop, etc. all over it. Car seats need a cover that can be removed and tossed in the washing machine.

Whatever car seat you use, use one of those protective covers that go under the seat the keep the car seat from digging into the leather and leaving scars.

My seats are all mismatched but the kids are all different sizes; 4, 2, and 6 months. I had a couple different seats as well but swapped them over to my wife's car since these gave the most room in the Jeep.

The last picture is my most recent addition. $15 for a pair of protectors for the back of the front seats. Stops the scuff marks and muddy boots.

Wow. There's more room in the back than I figured there would be. We are due with our first child in about 2 months. We got the Chicco key fit 30 system. Looking forward to a cool booster seat.
Btw, at first glance I thought the kick protector was a picture of torn up leather on the back of your seat. Definitely had the thought "nope, kid isn't going in my Jeep". Haha

Those recaros look awesome.

Have a 2yr old in the back of mine. We purchased car seat solely for highest safety rating. Clek foonf seat. In black and its solid as hell. Looks as good as a car seat is going to look IMO. We bought two, one for the Srt and one for the wife's car. Having another one in a few months, so two more cars seats to purchase. Haha. I'll get a pick in the Srt later.

Lol. The first day I got my SRT I told the girls, 3 and 5, that it's daddy's new car and I'd like to keep it clean. They didn't kick or placed their feet on the back of the seats the entire day. The next day however......

My five year old would always use the back of the seat as his foot rest in my old jeep. Nothing I did or said would work to keep his feet down and his response would always be, "oops, I forgot. Sorry daddy". Two days in the new SRT and no feet on the seat. He told me last night that he wants to keep my "new and improved car" clean. I expect that to last maybe another day...

I have two car seats that my wife bought based on safety ratings. Both are Britax and black to match the interior. The only real pisser about them is that the kids won't benefit from the heated seats!

The seat protectors underneath the car seat and over the backs of the front seats are extremely important. In fact, since our SRT doesn't get driven often, I even loosen the bases when parked in the garage so I don't get indentations in the seat cushion.

Recaro here, just for a "enthusiast" looking seat. It's not very well built compared to the Chico nextfit in my wife's 15 highlander. My 3 year old is already outgrowing it as the straps don't adjust very high on her shoulders.

Booster seat is next, and I don't know if there is a sharp looking option for those...

I almost did the "hey I want to be cool on social media so look at me and how hip I am" thing...but then my brain took over. I bought the Orbit system. It's "****ing awesome". Very expensive, but if you can truly afford this jeep you can afford it. The seat rotates on the base which alone is worth its' weight in gold.

I currently have 3 Orbit Bases, 1 infant seat, 1 stroller, and 2 Toddler Seats.

Ditto on orbit, very convenient. Also, I have stepped on do not step rockers on accident and they didn't break. Doubt your toddler will break them...

I got a black diono Ranier seat in the back of my black/black srt. It fits and looks pretty good. Also got seat covers for the rear seat, top and bottom, to help keep the seat looking ok in the future

It's the wife's DD with the kid, so it gets pretty dang dirty, especially when she brings the cat along for a trip to the inlaws. I have a small anurism whenever I get back from a work hitch and see the condition of it. I spend lots of time detailing it when I am home, but for sure it's tough to get a whole day of peace to clay, buff, polish, wax, etc with a rug rat running around.

Trying to get her to sell her 328i convertible so that I can start building "daddy's toy" (hopefully a super lite SL-C). She doesn't want to get rid of the dang thing!

I thought when you had kids you were supposed to get a minivan! And give up your hopes and dreams! Bunch of dudes talking about color matching car seats to their truck is kind of giving up I guess...but not as bad as I had thought at least. Viva!

Sometimes I wish everything I own was coated with a layer of peel off plastic. That way when the kids finally move out I could just peel it off and my stuff wouldn't be destroyed. Man kids are hard on stuff and just when you think you've got them trained......their friends show up.
