SRT Owners with Kids Thread

Figured I start one for SRT owners with kids thread.

So what booster seat and/or carseat are you guys using in your SRT? I'm looking for one that will go well with my laguna tan leather.

Re: SRT Owners with Kids Thread

I only have an infant so far and my interior is black, so naturally I went with the all black Recaro infant seat. We are looking at the next seat to be Recaro as well, but with some red in it. It doesn't matter that it's for a girl.

Haha those are awesome! I have the same seat, but without the custom leather covers. I do have 3 kid seats in the back full time, I will get some pics later.

Yeah, making a car seat out of leather is a bad, bad idea. It'll get food, vomit, boogers, poop, etc. all over it. Car seats need a cover that can be removed and tossed in the washing machine.

Whatever car seat you use, use one of those protective covers that go under the seat the keep the car seat from digging into the leather and leaving scars.

My seats are all mismatched but the kids are all different sizes; 4, 2, and 6 months. I had a couple different seats as well but swapped them over to my wife's car since these gave the most room in the Jeep.

The last picture is my most recent addition. $15 for a pair of protectors for the back of the front seats. Stops the scuff marks and muddy boots.

Re: SRT Owners with Kids Thread

Those recaros look awesome.

Have a 2yr old in the back of mine. We purchased car seat solely for highest safety rating. Clek foonf seat. In black and its solid as hell. Looks as good as a car seat is going to look IMO. We bought two, one for the Srt and one for the wife's car. Having another one in a few months, so two more cars seats to purchase. Haha. I'll get a pick in the Srt later.

I saw these today at the Detroit auto show. They were in a Charger Hellcat. Definitely custom to show that the Charger Hellcat can also serve as a family car. Pretty cool.

Re: SRT Owners with Kids Thread

We are due in 2 weeks, and I installed the Britax B-Safe 35 Elite in my c63 and wife's srt jeep...pretty much highest rated car seat, and super easy to use. We looked at the Recaro and they are garbage :/

Wow. There's more room in the back than I figured there would be. We are due with our first child in about 2 months. We got the Chicco key fit 30 system. Looking forward to a cool booster seat.
Btw, at first glance I thought the kick protector was a picture of torn up leather on the back of your seat. Definitely had the thought "nope, kid isn't going in my Jeep". Haha

Re: SRT Owners with Kids Thread

Kids just love to kick the back of the seat... I had a friends 1 year old in the Jeep this weekend. It was like she just knew her feet belonged on the back of the seat! That sight of 3 child seats in the rear scares me, I could not imagine!! I'm sure they are a blessing though.

I think its really cool how easy it is to install a seat now. The addition of child seat anchors are clutch!
